6) Character Personal History:

Leyton is the firstborn son of Ser Lorren Hightower and his wife Mordane Ashford. Leyton was a devout child, always in the Sept, listening to the Septons and taking in all they had to say. He did well in his studies, and showed martial promise as well. He was sent to squire for Lord Aurane Lannister at the age of seven, after a confrontation between his father and Lord Lothar Hightower.

At Casterly Rock, he was initially a social outcast, being a quiet introverted child, and spent much of his free time in the Sept or training in the yard alone, long after the other children his age had departed. He gradually began to spend more time with the older Lannister children, particularly Damon, who was not only his age but also similar in character. The two would often spar together in their free time. Over the years they became great friends. Despite their brief acquaintance, Leyton was also on good terms with Teirney when she left for King's Landing. Leyton never got along well with Nymeria, who he viewed as cruel, but did his best to conceal his dislike, as a good knight ought to. As for the younger Lannister children, he was never able to form much of an opinion of them before he departed to war.

Leyton travelled with Lord Aurane to fight in the war of the Stepstones and was present there for almost the entire duration of the war. He has learnt a great deal on the subjects of politics and war from both the personal teachings of Aurane and careful observation of his master. While Leyton does not condone the lifestyle of the Lord of Casterly Rock, he has never commented on it, knowing that it is not his duty to criticize. Leyton hopes to one day become a great knight and don the white of the Kingsguard.

7) Character Physical Description:
Leyton Hightower is a tall seventeen year old, similar in build to his cousin Ser Gareth Hightower. He is slightly taller than his cousin, and despite his tender age of similar breadth. His dark hair is kept short, and he bears stubble similar to another of his cousins, Lord Gwayne Hightower, as he normally finds himself too preoccupied with his duties to make time for a razor. His face is wide and is fairly handsome. His eyes are the same pale shade of grey as his father's. He appears slightly older than his age.

8) Character Reputation: Known for his devotion to the Seven. The former squire of Lord Aurane Lannister.

6) Character Personal History: Karys was working at a Lysene pleasure house when she heard two clients discussing how they planned to rob and murder a wealthy foreigner. Hoping to receive a reward for warning the rich stranger she snuck out of the pleasure house to warn him. She was not subtle enough to avoid attracting their attention, however, and they followed her and attacked her partway down the street, outside the residence of their planned victim. One minute they had shoved her to the ground and the next, in a blur of steel one of the men dropped to the ground, blood pouring from a chest wound. The other man lunged at the newcomer with a knife produced from what seemed to be thin air, but the blade was parried by the newcomer's sword. Her assailant was pushed back toward the wall by a man who she now saw was wearing tarnished and worn plate armor, where he was dispatched by a powerful blow that cleaved through his neck. "Who are you?" Her rescuer demanded, in the sharp tongue of the Westerosi which Karys had been forced to learn as part of her education at the pleasure house. She replied in his tongue, giving her name, and when questioned as to why the men attacked her she told the foreigner, who she was certain was the one who had been the planned target, that she had come to warn him.

"Then I have a great deal to thank you for." The aged knight replied, his greying hair shining in the darkness. "You allowed me the opportunity to surprise them. I have known their intentions for some time, but an opportunity has never presented itself to strike preemptively until now. I am Ser Lorren Hightower, of Oldtown." he offered her his hand to pull her up. "I owe you a great debt, and while I do not possess the riches those two believed I did, I do have a way to repay you should you be interested." Ser Lorren told her that he could offer her a better life in Oldtown, at the court of his nephew. He led her away from the bodies in the street ("I have friends in this city" he offered by way of explanation) to his small rented quarters where he penned a letter to his nephew. "Take this to my nephew at the Hightower. He will find work for you." Ser Lorren promised, fishing through a drawer and producing several coins. "This should cover your passage, should you wish to accept my offer of course." Karys scarcely considered before nodding. Life at the pleasure house, although comfortable, had never appealed to her. "Take this as well." Ser Lorren said, handing her a long and slender dagger. "You may have need of it."

She boarded a vessel bound for Dorne the next day. "Find Doran. He lives near the docks, and owes me a debt. He will see to it that you make it to the Hightower." Ser Lorren told her, before striding away into the crowd. It was the last she ever saw of him. The voyage was uneventful, the sailors were wary of her, mistaking her for a highborn lady having seen her on the docks with a knight and they kept their distance, leaving her to her own thoughts. Things in Sunspear were not as easy however. Nobody seemed to know who Doran was. One man she asked followed her down an alley and tried to molest her. She used the knife Lorren had given her, leaving him bleeding in the shadows. She stuck to the shadows back on her way to the docks, avoiding the cities guards, unsure if they knew or cared about the man she had left behind her. She snuck onto a boat that was bound for Oldtown, the small amount of coin she had taken from the dying man being insufficient to buy passage.

When she arrived at the Hightower and presented the letter to Lord Gwayne, she was provided with a position as a serving girl. Karys quickly realized that the position was perfect to collecting gossip. After some time, she had formed a very good picture of who the players of the court were and what they sought. She found a scribe in the city who recorded her observations in words, and she had the document placed in Lord Gwayne's solar. He was evidently impressed with the findings, for a few days later she became a personal advisor. Unofficially she is in charge of espionage in the Far Reach.



7) Character Physical Description: Tall, slender and fair haired, Karys is a beautiful woman. Her deep blue eyes are particularly alluring, as the stand out from her pale face.

7) Character Personal History: Known as "The Bull" by both his friends and enemies, John Bulwer served for Lord Gwayne Hightower in the war of the Stepstones and made a name for himself as a competent scout and warrior. For the past three years he has commanded the Far Reach's scouts. He is known for his unrivaled determination. He is the current Lord Bulwer's youngest brother.

8) Character Physical Description: A tall and heavily built man. Ser Jon's face bears a long scar across his left cheek that disappears into a scruffy beard of medium length that guards the lower half of his face. He is missing the top of his right ear. His eyebrows are large and bushy, and his dark brown hair long and ragged.
