The well-appointed, and attractive manse of Lord Saxon Cave, and his entourage, servants, retainers, hangers-on, and friends. A two-story building overlooking a courtyard and surrounded with a large white wall with a thick oak gate.

A young woman arrived in a dark grey cloak and a forest green dress. She had her long hair tied back simply as she arrived accompanied by her guards.

A servant wearing a black doublet, pushes the gate open as they approach. As the lady and her escort enter, they see the court yard is made up of a well-appointed garden. A handful of servants are scurrying about watering various plants, but rapidly depart.
The black-clad servant smiled politely, "Welcome to the home of Lord Cave. His lordship is upstairs in his solar, but will be down shortly. How may I introduce you?"

"My name is Isabel Hightower," she said, returning the smile. "Thank you very much. I am much obliged to you."

The servant nodded, as a pair of large glass windows on the balcony opens up, and Lord Saxon peered down. He was wearing a black doublet, lined with silver samite, glittering slightly in the sun.
The servant cleared his throat, "Lord Saxon, may I present to you Lady Isabel of house Hightower."
Saxon bowed politely from his elevated position.
"My lady, greetings. Welcome to my humble home."

Isabel curtsied to the lord. She had heard of him, of course, but they had never actually spoken, as far as she recalled, so once she straightened up she looked him over with open curiousity.
"You are very kind, my lord. I am honoured to meet you at last. Your fame precedes you," she said. "Few men can boast such honour, and fewer women."

"and few men boast of more women," Saxon quipped, smiling. "Toms, show her into the sitting room, serve the '50 Arbor Gold, and I shall be right down."
The servant smiled, and escorted Isabel inside to a dimly light but well appointed sitting room, decorated with an overstuffed couch of exquisite black leather, over which is draped an exotic looking fur.
The servant disappeared, and then reappears almost immediately with two crystal wine glasses, and a bottle of wine, which he places on the table.
"Please sit, Lord Saxon will be right with you."

Izzy had to fight back a smile at the lord's joke, though she had no particular desire to become a notch upon his bedpost. After all, he was old enough to be her father. She went willingly enough with the servant and seated herself on the fur, sighing with pleasure at the softness. She looked all around with curious eyes as she waited.

Lord Saxon appeared. His hair, including in his salt and pepper beard showed a slight glisten suggesting Lord Saxon had recently bathed, and not completely finished drying off. The servant poured two glasses of wine, handed one to Isabel, and stepped out of the room.
"It is my pleasure," Lord Saxon said, "To make your acquaintance. In my time at the capital, a Hightower has never called on me, until now. You must be the adventurous one in your family."

Izzy smiled. "Perhaps I am, my lord. My father, gods rest his soul, was not very much interested in such services as I've heard you offer. He preferred to spend his time ruling from the Hightower itself, and Mother much prefers Oldtown to Kings Landing. But I'm sure you know that my brother is lord now, and he's off at war. So I must represent the interests of my family at court. I was rather hoping you might help me do so."
She toyed with her hair a little.
"I've a connection to the Royal family through my late husband but it would be much better to have other friends in the capital as well. I do not wish it to seem as if I am taking advantage of the connection, even though I am."

"When the opportunity comes to take advantage, you certainly must," Saxon agreed, "I'm a rigorous believer in leaving no losing no opportunities in that sense. How do you see me being of assistance to you milady?"

"I'm told you know things," she said. "Perhaps you can help me learn about the life of the court. There are so many new people for me to meet. I would like to know who is worth my attention, and who is not."

"That's simple enough," Saxon confirmed, "Anyone who says he's worth your time isn't, and anyone who avoids your attention is a most fascinating creature." He sipped his wine.
"Although avoiding the attention of a pretty young lady like yourself would require a great deal of discipline."

"Then your theory doesn't work," she said, laughing. "And I had rather hoped to use my looks to my advantage. I might as well, because what's the use of having them, otherwise?"
She leaned close so he could see how her dress outlined her breasts. "I hoped you might be able to recommend a few names, my lord."

"Well, I can scarcely do that, unless I know what your objectives are," Saxon replied, his eyes tracing her outline discretely.
"What you want will determine who you must befriend, and whom you must oppose."
