The Bloody Gate sits astride the mountain road that leads into the Vale, built into the stone of the mountains. It gets its name from the blood of the dozen armies that are said to have been smashed against it in the Age of Heroes. It is commanded by the Knight of the Bloody Gate, an appointed position of renown.

Anyone intending to enter or exit the Vale by land should post here.
