The Godswood. It hasn't changed in ten years.

Gwayne Hightower was curious because he hadn't seen many godswooods. He stepped out for some air.

He heard some faint chattering, it seemed to be the voices of two women having an argument with eachother. One voice seemed older and the other spoke with the confidence of youth and high status. "This is a social place," the youth said, "But with very little people to socialize with! A princess of Dorne is best seen in the Gardens or at court."

The word Dorne made his ears prick up. He thought he remembered playing with a Dornish girl when he was very young.
"Whose there?" He called.

The voices stopped, perhaps they had been discussing things in the heat of the moment without realizing there may be others that would find them. A woman dressed in Septa robes stepped out from behind a large tree. The woman took a moment to recognize Gwayne but she did. "Master Gwayne, or should I say Lord Gwayne now?" The septa looked back where she had moved out from and waved her hand, "Come out princess, it's your friend."
"I don't remember any friends," the girl's voice said while she still remained behind the tree.

Gwayne hid a grin. The septa looked familiar and he remembered the girl more clearly. He wondered what she looked like; she would be a woman grown now.
"I am Ser Gwayne," he informed the septa. "I was knighted recently. I remember the princess, even if she does not remember me. We pretended you were a dragon."

"Congratulations Ser Gwayne, it is nice to cross paths with you again. And I remember the day well." The man at the yard that had given Lyssandra an apple was quite persistent she and him become better acquainted and they had a fling for a very short period. "Forgive the princess, she is much more shy than she was those years and she had an accident."
"Layne!!" The princess said in a groaning way. "Please tell him to leave. I don't want anyone to see me, especially people that knew me before."

"We only met once," Gwayne pointed out. "Please, princess. May we not be friends? Septa, help me. I don't care if the princess had an accident. How could I? I should at least say hello."

"Princess, you heard Ser Gwayne, his intentions are good." The Septa went back behind the tree and returned with an arm behind Lyssandra's back. The young girl wore her black hair loose so it covered part of her face and she wore a long dress with gloves. She looked down at the ground, "Good to meet you Ser Gwayne," she said weakly.

He bowed to the princess and took a step closer to her.
"Likewise, Princess. You honour me. I hope you will consent to be friends with me?"
He decided not to ask about the accident. She'd tell him if she wished to.

"If you play cyvasse with me I will be your friend," she said, perhaps even with a hint of humour. "I'm afraid my days of slaying dragons has long left me. Now it's just books and cyvasse."
The septa nodded but took a step back now to let the two talk now that Lyssandra seemed more open to being social.
She was not sure what else to say and so went to a default that the septa and others had told her to rely on. "How do you like the weather here?"

"It's not as pleasant as it is in the Reach," Gwayne said. "The sun is warmer there. But I expect you know more about that in Dorne. I will happily play cyvasse with you, if you will teach me. Lord Tarly didn't play."

"I can teach you as long as you keep it a secret." Lyssandra looked around, trying not to make eye contact with Gwayne. "One thing I remember is the grass that was here. I liked the grass. Is that strange?"

"No. Grass is good to sit on," he said. "There's no reason not to like it, truly. I suppose you don't get much grass in the Dornish deserts though?"

"Nothing like here. Nothing close. It's nice to look at and to feel. And like you said, good to sit on." Lyssandra paused, "You never said you would keep the secret."
