"I care little for stories, I seek the truth. I have had enough of stories and tales from my childhood." He looks him over. "What interested me was the fact that I have come to speak with so little Dornishmen, save a few merchants, I was interested in speaking with the nobility of the sands and a little of the culture."

"Well, I do not have a issue with that", he looked at him. "I have information about that, If it is what you want to hear." Evan stared at him,"We in Dorne have always been a mystery to those outside of our lands."
"To some we seem savage and ungodly in our ways, but we are not."

"What about yourself, you said you wish to learn more about court yes?"

He shrugs,"my mind does not think that way. I believe we all have something to learn from each other." Evan then finished his goblet, easing it forward on the table, "I learned much from my sister when she holds court. But, Dornish court may differ from others, that part I wish to learn." He smirks,"Is it not true that in the world of politics, you must know everything about everyone even before you meet them?"

Renwulf had only come to the feast to anoint the food that the other Iron Born would be consuming. He had little stomach for Greenland food, and so afterwards he simply sat at the end of one of tables and drank the swill they were trying to pass off as wine.

"That is true in its regard, if your skilled you can learn a lot from someone just by seeing what they wear, how they walk, and what they do. Even before a word is said you can know, but it takes years of training." He looks around. "However, a cold thing the hearts of men are."

"I can look people over pretty well. I agree over the years I should be improved." He eyes followed the new person that entered the room, frowning over his wine. "Like him", he nodded in the man's direction. "He is Ironborn. It is obvious by his dress and his hair, what he is. At this moment, he is unhappy with his wine and probably the food. I do not disagree with him either, if I was not able to have Dornish Red at this function, I would not drink at all." He then looked to Lord Tully,"and my heart is steadily on its way. It has to be in order to make the necessary decisions to serve my Princess and Dorne."

"Do be careful, a fine line between dedication and obsession. If you wont go to your own sisters wedding because of the wine choices, that could be a problem, but if a group of farmers want taxes raised because of their work on the corn fields, but corn is ever lowering in value. You must choose what is best, for the land, or for peoples wants." He smiles.

"With respect to my sister, I would attend even if they were drinking goat's milk", he grinned,"or I would be in deep trouble... plus I would be sure to have a cask of my own wine." "And decisions regarding taxes", he shrugged,"well, in our family we discuss in a forum. In the end my sister had final say in the conclusion of business. We make suggestions." "It works out on the end for the better of Dorne." Evan then nodded in his next thought,"Do not doubt my resolve Lord Tully, my dedication borders on obsession for the greatness of my family and my people. I had a wife, not by my choosing but because my father deemed it necessary. I no longer have a wife, but I do have a daughter." "Neither was my choice, but I deal with my daughter as I should by letting my sisters teach her our ways and the customs of being a true Dornish woman." He let his voice deepen,"That is not my place."

My wife," He would nod to the quiet woman with the rest of the Tully's. "A Gentle woman, kind and brilliant. She was also a product of my fathers choosing, however, while we both may not have wanted to marry, but I would never harm her, Family, comes first." He looks to him, stroking his beard. "We are unlike you, we do not have a forum, however I am most interested in how that operates. Mostly decisions comes to the Lord, the lord has his advisers and the lord decides a decision, out of his own will, or by the guide of his aids. A lord should know what is best for his land, and his people, this is why Duty is second." He sits back and smiles, "However we are also but men, with emotions, anger, and most of all pride. However we must know when pride of honor and pride of humility are not the same. For we must defend our family, our name, and what it is to be human. So a man trains, a man learns, and a man listens, and with that, Honor comes last." He explains.

"Adrien is five...", he says knowing that when he says her age, no one either believe him or gives him the usual answer of how young he is. "Her mother was a Dornish woman from the lesser house of Dalt. To be honest, I do not even remember her name." He motioned for another serving of wine. "Our ways are not the ways of the other houses of Westeros. Family and Dorne is our duty. The men and women of Dorne fight for family and honor. When the time arises all of them will fight." Evan's wine arrives, he drinks deeply,"as I said my sister makes her decisions based on what we, her siblings give her. She also is not blind and sees the land for herself. She is also a warrior, as is it in our blood." He smiles at the thought of his family. "I think that is why the rest of the kingdoms look upon us in question and disdain, because of our ways. Because we have women as well as men rule over our houses. Because we have women and men that can armor and fight. Our women do not just sit and both children and remain in the background, they stand beside the men."

Harlan sipped from his cup, carefully not spilling a drop on his papers while dumping a gratuitously large portion of the drink onto himself. If only he had more time here... He looked around frantically at the people, then bent down to his task.

"Well Lord Tully, if it suits you", he nodded, with a grin."Maybe in your travels you should pay Sunspear a visit. I am sure you would like our Dornish hospitality." Taking another sip,"Just be prepared for the heat. I am told it does not agree with all people"

"I would love to travel down south, perhaps I will devote some time down there, perhaps you could come visit Riverrun. I would wish you to come learn about our customs, if you are interested." He smiles.
