Let's post our profiles here so we can help each other out and make sure they mesh well.
I have suggested we use the Bloodfeud system of public vs private profiles so people won't see our skills or our darkest deeds. But no idea if we will get that.
Please note that the skills for 3rds aren't clarified. Someone suggested it would be as it is in mine below but be ready to change 3rd skill levels if necessary.

Despite being what was best for the house he married her and had their only child, Lyndis, who was named after her mother. A few years later his wife became ill and died. He withdrew and stayed in his room with his daughter refusing to speak with anyone for almost a year. Eventually he began to come out more and began practicing again. Honing his skills as a commander and knight, becoming more open than even before the death of his wife. He took his place by his brothers side once again and spent time raising his daughter. Teaching her to do whatever was necessary to help the house and herself. He was bound to chivalry as a knight but she was not. After the death of his brother some years later he grew more resolved in helping his family and the new lord, his nephew.

Second:
1) Character Name: Ser Jon Bulwer
2) Character Age: 46 (b.654)
3) Character Nationality: The Far Reach (Andal)

6) Character's Second (Choose 2 beginner skills, 2 novice skills, 2 apprentice skills, and 2 noteworthy skills):
Noteworthy: Land Battle Noteworthy: Axes Novice: Drinking Novice: Athletics Beginner: Animal Handling Beginner: Fortifications
7) Character Personal History: Known as "The Bull" by both his friends and enemies, Ser John Bulwer served as the Far Reach's leading general from 681-687 when he was replaced by a man in every way his opposite, Sain Hightower. Born to Lord Lukas Bulwer and Lady Janelle Beesbury in the year 654, John was a large baby, and he only got bigger over time. He frustrated both his tutors and the Bulwer master at arms as a child, but while he was no scholar, John was a formidable fighter, despite his lack of finesse. He could dispatch the most "skilled" of his young opponents through sheer force, and eventually even the Bulwer master at arms was forced to concede that his style was effective. At the age of eleven he began training with the older boys, including his elder brother Brandon. There, his strength was only slightly greater than that of his opponents and he was forced to pick up some technique.
Jon served his father and then his elder brother, preferring to train and organize men rather than "prancing around on a horse making a ruddy fool of myself" as most men of his age opted to. At the age of twenty three he moved to Oldtown, inserted himself into Hightower through sheer power of character. While never popular, it was clear that Jon Bulwer was an effective warrior, and over time he was given more and more military responsibility by Lord Hightower. Yet just as he had gradually risen, Jon gradually fell from favor, his brash tactics passed over in favour of the more subtle and varied persuasions of his successor, Sain Hightower. Bulwer, furious that he had been passed over in favor of a "weakling" who surrounded himself with musicians was seen at many an Oldtown tavern, disparaging his "meek" successor, until Lord Hightower himself sought him out one evening. Several days later it was announced that "Ser" Jon Bulwer would be serving as the Master at Arms of the Hightower. While most of the court preferred Sain, there were a few who whispered that the Hightowers had strangled the career of one of their most promising servants, but throughout his service as Master at Arms, Ser Jon has never contributed to that conversation.
While Ser Jon could never be mistaken for a romantic man, he married the passed over thirty year old Beatrice Norcross when he was twenty five. She has produced two daughters; Alyssane who is now seventeen, and Katheryn who is now thirteen.
8) Character Physical Description: A tall and heavily built man. Ser Jon's face bears a long scar across his left cheek that disappears into a well kept beard of medium length that guards the lower half of his face. He is missing the top of his right ear. His eyebrows are large and bushy, and his dark brown hair is beginning to grey.
9) Character Reputation: In battle, a raging bull. In court, a bull of a man.

Works for me. One stipulation though, and I don't think it was put in the official rules yet. 2nds are not allowed to be lords. Smith doesn't want us controlling extra houses at the beginning. You could be a dispossessed lord sworn to us, but you can't hold your own lands.

Post by Lord Gareth Hightower on Sept 2, 2013 20:07:15 GMT -5
1-Character Name and Byname: Ser Gareth "White Hands" Hightower.
2-Age: 25 (born 675)
3-Character Region: Far Reach
4-Character Skills:
-Expert - Command: Land Battle -Noteworthy - Sword -Noteworthy - Siege Tactics -Apprentice - Construction: Fortifications -Apprentice - Lance -Novice - Intrigue -Novice - Riding -Beginner - Unarmed combat -Beginner - Short Blades
5-Character Background: Gareth is the second son of Lord Lothar Hightower, by his wife Annara of House Redwyne. Like his elder brother Gwayne he spent his early years at the Hightower under the eye of the castle's maester and master-at arms. He learned to read and write and to do figures. Indeed his aptitude for learning saw his father originally promise him to the Citadel. Gareth attended the Citadel as a novice and according to rumor may have even earned one iron link before he managed to persuade his father that he was better suited to becoming a knight. Squired to Lord Tyrell at the age of fourteen, Gareth spent four years in Highgarden where he learned much about the handling of arms and how to lead men. Upon his Knighthood at age 18, he returned to Oldtown, and fought under his elder brother in the War of the Stepstones. As a knight has also spent time with the Maesters at the Citadel, indulging his interest in building and fortifications especially how they lend themselves to the waging of war.
6-Character Appearance: Gareth is tall with broad shoulders and a slender yet muscular physique. He wears his dark hair at shoulder length, has piercing blue eyes and is almost always seen close shaven or maybe with a slight stubble. He is always well-dressed and often wears white gloves, hence his by-name of "White Hands"
7-Character Reputation: Well known as the younger brother of Lord Hightower, Gareth has earned the soubriquet of "White Hands", due to his habit for wearing white gloves, even when wearing full armor. Originally a term of derision amongst Lord Tyrell's squires and even Lord Tyrell himself, Gareth has turned it into a symbol of pride.

How's this? I'll expand upon it for you guys of course, but this is what will be public.
First
1) Character Name: Leyton Hightower
2) Character Age: 20
3) Character Nationality: The Far Reach (Andal)
7) Character Personal History:
Leyton is the firstborn son of Ser Lorren Hightower and his wife Mordane Ashford. He was sent to squire for Ser Arron Florent at the age of thirteen. Ser Arron was an unimpressive if dutiful knight, but he treated his squire well enough. When Leyton was sixteen Ser Arron sustained a blow to the head in a joust which put him into a state of permanent sleep. Leyton returned to the Hightower and has remained there since, lacking opportunity to distinguish himself.
8) Character Physical Description: Leyton Hightower is a tall man, similar in build to his cousin Ser Gareth Hightower. He is slightly taller than his cousin, and despite his tender age slightly broader as well. His dark hair is kept short, and he bears stubble similar to another of his cousins, Lord Gwayne Hightower, despite his best efforts to keep his face clean shaven. His face is wide and is fairly handsome. His eyes are the same pale shade of grey as his father's. He appears slightly older than his age.
9) Character Reputation: Known for his devotion to the Seven.
