Hey guys, while we have the chance, any thoughts about how to proceed now we're in the 10 year? I'd love it if I could get you guys to help - can'#t do everything myself and I feel like we're falling behind. i'm spending time RPing that I REALLY shouldn't be, just to keep up! The Lannisters are still dominating everything, much to my disappointment. I am not sure if I can still carry out one of my plans. I'd hoped to entice the Baratheons into a liaison by making Izzy like Morgause from my Arthurian game and thus getting Zack's attention in the main game, but instead he is now betrothed to Amelia so that may not work since she isn't going to be killed off in the time jump.  So I don't know what to do now. I'm tempted to just scrap her marriage from the back story and let her be betrothed to someone else. I am intending to focus on the Stark connection still. Elyssa stared at the Ironborn openly, mouth gaping a little. She didn't look early as scary or ugly as the stories said. She remembered what Mychel Lannister had said about the stories and made a face. "I won't forget, brother." She knew her brothers would be more important than she by far on the political stage, but she was a Stark, too. " The Royces, and the Hightowers, they're both our friends, aren't they?" My problem is that Lorren is not a character important enough, or inclined toward making alliances. Leyton going to the Lannisters should help us a bit though. |

I hope so yes! I think I may scrap Izzy's marriage to Varner because it helps us in no way while I'm unsure if I can use my original plan for her. I hate being the one who pushes for marriage but I don't quite know what else to do! Also, can we find a way to halt the Lukas thing? It's been interesting but I was really hoping to get a way into a Baratheon acquaintance and now I won't be able to as we're in the 10 year. |

Guys, I really really hate saying this but may I suggest trying to engage other people a bit more when you post. Or even post in the "I need a NPC" thread. We will do a bit better if we can get people to take more notice of us. I bug my closer friends on Skype when I want to RP with them, or otherwise ask in the chatroom. I know that isn't always an option, but the board allows us to ask for RP partners so it would be good to use it. I'm doing what I can but if it's just us RPing within ourselves and not achieving anything it's kinda weird.

If it's still interesting to our house to have a marriage with the Baratheons, Gwayne has 2 sister according to the genealogy, and I still don't have a third, maybe we could marry Perriane or Rohanne to Quenton Baratheon and I would play the character...

That could work, as long as you've got the time to play her. Pick whichever you would like because I was planning to NPC the other.  The question is how do we approach the issue? I removed Izzy's NPC husband from the genealogy for now so she too is still available at the minute because it seems like my original plan is a bit silly. |

Ok guys, unfortunately I have spent too much time RPing and too little time doing uni work over the past week, what with moving home and the new start on LOW so for the next 2 days I am going to have to be careful because I am supposed to send my 2nd full draft to my supervisor to read over the weekend then I have the following week to prepare the final draft. I have no intention of disappearing and I want to look after the team but I will try to be a bit more low profile for those days which means I want to keep RP to existing threads and important stuff and take it more slowly. I should have a little more time over the weekend, hopefully. The good part is that I have to submit the final draft to the print unit by the 23rd so I should be sorted by then!

Perfectly understandable; School must come first! After all, you're not paying for the privilege to RP (I hope) whereas the same cannot be said of classes. Also for some odd reason a degree looks pretty good on a resume, and RP experience isn't always in the job descriptions posted! I'll try to pick up some of the slack during your absence. |

Thank you. I'll be about if you really need me but I'm not going to do purely random RP - only things that truly count - for a few days. Fortunately the end is in sight. I'm sick of the damn thing but needs must if I am to get a decent grade!

I think we need to make sure we don't promise the same character to multiple families. We have more hope in possibly betrothing Isabel to the Royces. One other daughter to the Baratheons and maybe the other daughter to the Martells would be a good result.
Apparently Gareth is squire to Lord Tyrell. Is this canon? In other words if I RP Gareth as an NPC, I csn definitely assume he's Lord Tyrell's squire?

We can try Izzy with the Royces, sure. Thomas has a handle on getting either Perianne or Rohanne hopefully betrothed to Quenton, which leaves us one more option, plus the sons, though I wasn't planning on Gwayne being married or betrothed in the prequel - it seems I underestimated the importance of the prequels! We can certainly try the Martells as well. The alternative would be to try and get a foot in the door with the Tyrells. Check with Smith if it's ok for Gareth to be Tyrell's squire - if not we can change it so he's squiring for someone else. I thought you'd confirmed it with him though. Smith is going to NPC Lord Tarly, who was Gwayne's knight master, so that gives us another NPC to interact with on "our" side. Also, Thomas, if you read this, is it ok with you if Perianne and Rohanne are both redheads? That's how I'd envisioned them but there hadn't been a reason to say that so I never mentioned it. |
