He's probably too young to go to a fancy feast. I figured Gwayne at eight is just about old enough to be allowed to a fancy event outside of the Far Reach for the first time. Obviously Rickon is younger when he gets to go to the one in AGOT but it's at Winterfell so he'd be there anyway.
