Finn frowned and scanned the village for any sign of trouble. "This is curious," he said, "Did they lose the scent Felix?" he asked the kennel master.

"No... they are pulling right toward that village." He frowned, and studied the eight small buildings that were the village.

There was no evidence of anything alive down in the village.

The village seemed abandoned and a little rundown but no specific signs of violence.

Finn frowned, "Does anyone know the name of this place? Where are the people?" he asked, among the huntsmen and Hightower guards who were present in the entourage.
He eyed the dogs and dismounted.

Finn frowned. He advanced slowly, his hand resting easily on a dagger hilt as he poked his head into the nearest hut.
"Hello? Come out in the name of Lord Hightower and his Grace the King!" He said, trying to sound official.

Finn looked at the corpse and wretched violently, before coming out of the hut.
"There is a body!" He yelled.

The king walked up, and looked inside. He turned, and vomited all over himself.
Hugh pulled his greatsword, and began to look around ready.
The dogs still fought their chains barking and leaping.

From his position further back, Dunnock eyes the king with mild disgust. A corpse was no pleasant thing, and Dunnock tried his best every night to forget the piles of bodies at Castle Keath. But to react in such a way, in front of so many lords and knights? For an instant Dunnock could almost understand his father's mad fury at being ordered about by such men.

Finn returned to Felix and Anthony, "I am loath to send the dogs off the leash again. Do you think you can find the beast's most recent scent?"
He gestured at the king's many may guards, "search those huts and account for any more bodies. They'll need burying"
