A relatively small sept in the tower with separate altars for every god of the Seven.

Dany was in the sept, standing before the stony face of the Warrior, seemingly mumbling something with her eyes closed. There was a burning candle in her hands.

Clsose by her, Mariya was also praying, moving between each of the gods to lay a candle before them. She reached the Warrior last and came to stand beside Dany.
"Gods bless you, Dany," she whispered.

She hadn't noticed her there and was slightly startled at first. Then, she smirked to herself.
"That is the plan, yes," she said, giving Mariya a sideways glance, and then looking at the other altars. "Do you usually bring candles for everyone?"

"Sometimes. Not often, though. Mostly I pray to the Maiden and the Warrior, but other times to the Mother and Father or the Crone. I hardly ever pray to the Smith or the Stranger. But I bring them candles so they don't feel left out."
She flushed in slight embarassment.
"I suppose I pray too often, but I feel at peace here."

Dany gave a small laughter. "So they don't feel left out. That's adorable," she said in a friendly manner.
"I think the Warrior is one of the best ones, don't you?" she asked her, looking up at his stern face thoughtfully. "I mean, I am not sure what purpose the Crone and the Smith have. But Stranger and I are old friends," she told, thinking about her family.

"Oh. I never know what to say to the Stranger," Mariya said. "He took my father from me and sent me here when I was still a babe at the breast. The Smith is a god for craftsmen, I think. But the Crone is supposed to grant wisdom and show us the way when we are lost. And I think I need her guidance. And the Maiden...what girl would not love her? But I agree with you, Dany. I have always loved the Warrior. I hope I have some of his strength and courage. But, I thought all fighting men prayed to the Warrior and he did not save my father."
She laid her candle down before the Warrior.

Dany thought that Maiden was fairly useless, but kept that thought to herself. "I don't really think of the stranger as someone who has taken. More like someone who will take more. Why do you need the Warrior's strength and courage, are you going to be in a fight?" she asked curiously, looking at her as she placed the candle.

"Not that I know of. but I don't know what the future will hold. I want to be strong and brave to face it," Mariya explained.

Aaryn entered the Sept, and looked very surprised to see the two ladies praying to the Warrior.
He seemed uncertain of where to go for a moment, the Warrior clearly being his god of choice. Eventually, he made his way over to the altar of the Father. He silently knelt before it, and after a moment began to noiselessly pray.

"Ah, of course. The future. Have you already thought about where you're gonna go?" she asked Mariya, not really remembering if the Rowans' seat had also been destroyed or not. She noticed Aaryn enter the Sept, but didn't want to bother him mid-prayer.

"Maester Lymon says I should marry. That's what most women do, anyway. But I will be staying here until that happens," Mariya explained. "What about you?"

"Maester Lymon says I have to marry one of them Hightowers," she replied, looking amused at the very idea. "And you're alright with what he tells you?"

"Not really, but what choice do I have? I don't know my own family," Mariya said. "They might not want me back. And I doubt the Hightowers want to keep me forever. So I'll have to marry somebody, won't I?"

"Sure. Or you can, you know, flee the castle and become an outlaw in charge of a whole brotherhood. Take from the rich, give to the smallfolk." Dany looked thoughtful and nodded, as if praising the idea. "That wouldn't actually be bad at all, the more I think about it."
She grinned to show her she was only joking. "You can always live at Highgarden," she said, just because she was feeling generous that day.
