Rodrik arrives at the office, and knocks on the door. Before entering, he pops the last slice of an apple into his mouth. "You wished to see me, Maester?"

Lymon was sitting at his desk, and reading a history and did not look up immediately, "Rodrik, I did, please have a seat."

Rodrik pulled a seat out and sat, curious as to why he was here. Waiting for the maester to answer his curiousity, he looked around the room.

"Fine. Well, er, sore, but otherwise fine." Rodrik brought a hand up to his chest and tried to rub the ache away. "How are you, Maester?"

"I am most well, Thank you Rodrick." Lymon replied with a slight smile, "And how are your daily lessons going?"

Excitedly, Rodrik told the Maester about his most recent spar with Aaryn.
"He got the better of me this time, but I'll return the favor at some point!" Then realizing that the Maester had asked about all of his lessons, Rodrik's smile fell away.
"As for my other lessons... well they don't come as easily to me as the sword does. They just don't hold my interest."
Realizing what he just said, he hurriedly added, "No offense Maester, I just don't think the Seven intended for me to be interested by books."

"That is fine. Some men are pulled down different roads then others. Do the lessons about war interest you?" Lymon asked.

Rodrik nods his head. "Yes Maester, I find those lessons much more enjoyable. Though I do find the talk of tactics to be over my head."
