Baelor shook his head. "We should probably finish these and hope the feast is still on. Don't really want to push too much..."

Zach frowned, scrubbing the pots was certainly not what he had in mind for the night. He kept his head down and continued on though, trying not to think about what the others might be up too.

When they were finally done Baelor looked up and rubbed his eyes. "Wonder if the ball is still going on."

After a lot of getting lost and refusing to ask for directions, Vardis finds the kitchens. Although some time had passed since he had left his room. "Have to remember that. Left at the stairs, right at the corridor, down a few more stairs and it's on the left... Wait, or was it a right?" He shakes his head. "Whatever. Where's the food!" He yells out. One of the cooks look at him like he's a mummer.

"Why do you talk so loud?" Dunnock growls with irritation. He finds the remains of some brown bread and snatches it up.

Vardis grabs an apple out of a bowl. "Why are you so big?" He takes a bite. "It's just the way I am. You got a problem with that? We can fight about it if you like." Vardis puts his fists up, apple in hand. Vardis himself isn't sure whether he's joking or if he should be serious. Dunnock seems like he might be dangerous.

For a moment it looks like Dunnock might take him up on that, then he just shakes his head. "That's not the same thing," he says, tearing off a chunk of the bread with his teeth. "You look like an idiot," he adds, glancing at Vardis' apple-clenching fist.

Vardis looks at his apple and takes a bite out of it. "I suppose you're right. You drink much?" He looks around for any mead or ale in the kitchen.

"No," Dunnock answers. "It makes you stupid. And slow."

Vardis laughs, "Well I don't plan on drinking during a battle. Come on, have some mead." He finally tracks down some mead and gets two mugs of it. "Nothing wrong with having some fun."

Dunnock sniffs the mead suspiciously, then takes the tiniest sip and sets it down. "That's enough," he states.

Vardis gulps his mead down. "That's it? What're you, a Septa?"

"When I said mead makes you stupid," Dunnock says, "I didn't think it would work this fast on you." His tone does not change, making it hard to tell whether he is attempting a joke or a threat.

Vardis throws his apple at Dunnock. "I'm not drunk yet ya oaf!"

The apple bounced off Dunnock's shoulder. He promised not to hit anyone unless they deserved it. He wondered if the Blackwood boy deserved it yet. He would have to think that over a while.
"Don't barge in drunk and wake me up," Dunnock says, thinking of their shared room.
