Mors nodded. "Okay, if you would then, please follow up with the state of things at The Wall. If you need additional resources, tell me and you shall have them." Mors then smiled. "So, on to happier topics. My family should have returned from tourney at King's Landing by now, so I can summon Bowen here when the time is convenient for you."

"That's good. My daughter arrived today. It seems to me just having the wedding here is most practical." Flint said.

"In a month's time then?"

"As you like," The Flint nodded. "I learned something else interesting," He said, "about our Lord's murder. The blade which did the deed, I'm sure we showed it to you? T'was Valyrian steel. With a cat's eye jewel in the hilt. My people have asked around, and the story is that Lord Erik Tyrell was murdered with the same kind of blade... by assassins in King's Landing." Flint said. "If its true, it says Lord Stark's death was not a Northern matter alone. There's also talk that the cat's eye is for the Lions of Casterly Rock, but that might be just idle talk."

"Thank you for the information, Lord Flint." Mors replied. "As unpleasant as I find whispers and whisperers, I feel wholly exposed in the Southern courts. We should work to rectify this."

"My goodbrother Wyman of Widow's Watch has sent up some business contacts in the city. His son's bastard, Summer Snow, has some friends. If you send someone down to the courts, I can put you in contact with them."

"Thank you again, Lord Flint. That should prove most worthwhile." Mors replied.

Brandon took it for a dismissal, "Very good then Lord Dustin," he said with a bow of the head.

Lord Manderly arrives to speak with Lord Dustin. He enters, and stares everywhere but at the Lord.

Lord Dustin has made sure that Lady Stark was in the room with him when Lord Manderly arrives. Lord Dustin rose immediately and offered a hand to Lord Manderly. "Thank you for coming, my lord."

Manderly took the hand, and offered a smile, "I will admit I was outmaneuvered. How may I serve you Lord Regent."

Mors pursed his lips, "Well as to that, I knew it was an office you desired... And with good reason. Family is important to a man, and I'm sure you worry for your daughter and grandson. I will do everything in my power to see your grandson raised to manhood honorably."

Manderly nodded, "I may have thought myself the best man, but you are far from the worst choice. I have no doubt of your ability, and thank you for these kind words."

Mors nodded. "Good, as I fear we'll be sorely tested here in the North soon enough. Tell me, what is the state of your fleet?"
