Summer smiled at Helyn, "Well hello Helyn's cousins." she said.

OOC: How the HELL do you know they are Flints? Tormund turned, "Aye, I suppose its good enough." OOC: Tormund and Aflyn competed in the melee, and knocked out those who knocked out the Freys. Patrek watched it all and has high knowledge and learning, and I thought it okay to recognize them as one of the only Northern families to come south. We're both on a lot, and I thought we might put aside some differences and RP a little. "I have no doubt seen your family around during the festivities. The north has made a good name for itself during the tournament thus far," he replied. He looked for some form of sigil or sign to distinguish from which House of Flint they reigned from.

OOC: I still don't see how competing in the melee makes their house instantly identifiable. Given their choice of dress, beards and probably accents making them Northmen seems a no-brainer, but an obscure Northern house seems a stretch. Everyone does it. It's just a pet peeve.
They had no badges or colors. Lord Wyman was in a simple brown woolen tunic with some colored stitching on the sleeves and at the elbow. Tormund wore a leather jerkin, fastened up the front with bronze clips. Ryk and Ramsey both wore simple quilted tunic, in a white which would pass as "mostly clean."
"Aye, we did well enough. Overcoming that Dog? Gods, what a monster he is."
Tormund scanned Patrek's attire and looked for a sigil if there was one, "Where do you hail from Ser...?"
edit: just fixed a typo.

Patrek is one of the more practically dressed Freys to ever visit a party. He wears a grey tunic with a cream lining. The twin towers of his house stiched over his heart in navy thread. Her wore high back boots and wore little adornments save a silver chain.
"Ser Patrek of House Frey, and heir to the Twins. Though I have not been very knightly since my youth," the middle aged man grinned. "I commend your warriors for standing against Ser Tomas where most would balk."
"It is a shame. There are not many of the North who have come south," he noted.

"Stand isn't what I would call it," Ramsay said, "bastard's blow sent me flying half way across the bloody yard." He chuckled. "We didn't get to cross blades with you Freys, but we avenged you against the Redwynes." he added.

Patrek smiled genuinely at Ramsay's comment. "The Corbrays aswell," he replied. "I must thank you on my brother's behalf. That reveals how united Lord Royce's bannermen are, does it not?"

Tormund shrugged, "They seemed fairly united when they met the Lannisters, but I'll agree their alliance didn't hold up as well as us Northmen."

"To be sure those within the Vale of Arryn will always keep as thick as theives. Though the division that stands between them and the rest of us goes beyong the Mountains of the Moon," he shrugged.
"But what can one do, aside from gathering allies and prepare for the dark times to come?" Patrek opined.

"They'd always told me Freys are a subtle lot," Wyman snorted in mirth.
"The troubles of the Riverlands and Vale is no concern of ours, "Tormund added.
"What was done was wrong, if you ask me," Ramsey said, "Oughta be a Riverlands again."
"Well no one did," Tormund said, shushing his son.

Frey laughed at the comment and exchange. "To be sure, my Father will agree with you. He rarely speaks outside of closed walls," he said to Wyman. "Subtle until opportunity represents itself. Why take a risk when you need not?" he said almost to himself.
Patrek chuckled. "I, however, see the value in friends," he smiled.

Wyman raised his eyebrow, "Your father has a right of it. Friend's just an enemy you ain't made yet. Only blood counts."

"I'm Wyman Flint, Lord of Widow's Watch," the eldest of the Flints replied, realizing they'd rudely failed to introduce themselves. "this is my son Tormund, his son Ramsay, my other son Alfyn, and his son Ryk." Alfyn, who had been fetching more ales, nodded respectfully. He was dressed identically to his brother Tormund, but was not as large or formidable looking.

"Well met," he said to them all, before turning back to the eldest.
"Lord Wyman," Patrek said. His voice was calmer than it had been moments ago. "You are a wise man. More so than most who attend these festivities," he complimented.
He regarded the Flint lord with a hint of sincere curiosity.

Wyman gave a "heh."
"My papa hews closely to our roots," Tormund explained, "Got the mountain sense. Still, we'll be glad to get on our way North. I believe this city would make even the most sensible man a jibbering ass in a year or so."
