The Northern Mountains

There are no roads through the twisted mountain valleys in the northern part of the North past the wolfswood. Beneath the grey stone peaks lay still blue lakes, long and deep and narrow, and there are endless piney woods

Danny took Heidi down a mountain path away from the Fastness, "Follow me dear, watch your step its a bit rocky."

She held her skirt up as she followed him over the rocks

Danny smiled back at her, "C'mon then, this will cool you off." He said.

[Helyn Caron]

She giggled. 'It is much cooler out here.'

"It's quite cold for the season," he said, "You're just burning up inside."

[Helyn Caron]

Her cheeks were pink. 'Yes so it would appear.'

They reached an area where the ground flattened out, and there was a long deep blue mountain lake.

'Oh this is beautiful.' she said looking aound.';

Danny smiled, "One of my favorite spots as a kid," Danny said.

She looked out over the water. 'It's so dreamy.' She said, her hands absent mindedly running over her flat stomach

Danny smiled, "The water is usually warmer then the air outside," he said, "it's nice."

'Lets go in.' she told him

Danny smiled, "after you," he said.

She took off her shoes and played with the water with her toes
