Somewhere deep in the high mountain places, north of the Wolfswood, lies the Fastness of The Flint.
A large timber and stone Hall, appropriate for feasting, an large enough to hold every member of the clan all assembled.

Brandon sat around the flickering peat moss fire, and clicked his tongue. The traveler from down south had said that Lord Stark's own blood was preparing to marry a reaver. Certainly a strange choice, what did it portend?
When the news had come, Ryam had already known his father's mind. He immediately ordered preparations to travel.
The next day, Brandon, called The Flint, his sons Ryam and Hother, and his grandson Danny set off south towards Winterfell.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// After several days ride, Danny and Heidi appeared at the gates of the Flint Fastness. A few quick words and they were admitted to the great hall, where there were Flints in great abundance. Seated a massive high seat carved of weirwood, was Brandon Flint, chewing a lamb leg he held in his left hand.
"Oh." He growled, "Look who decided to show up."

They all looked at the southron girl with undisguised curiosity.
"Grandfather," Danny said, "let me introduce my wife Heidi, of House Caron."
Brandon Flint looked at the girl and tugged on his beard. "Come up here, " he said, "let me have a look at you."

"Skinny little thing, isn't she?" Brandon said. "How many children did your mother give your father?" he asked bluntly.

"You say that now," he said, "but see if your tune don't change come winter. Surprised your not a little girl-cicle already." He said with a "heh." "Pia...," he gestured at one of the numerous Flint women, one of whom appeared, "See to it that the girl has clothes for every season. Wool and fur and lots of it. I've need speak to my grandson." The girl nodded her head and and gestured for Heidi to follow.
