'Yes, but as i said, that is how i witness my mother and fathers marraige, no marrage is the same.' Jast smiled, "So then you would support my proposal." He nodded. "yes, but it would not be my decision."

"I was once wed to one of his kin," he said with an empty smile. "Though I dare say I did not attend many of his lavish feasts." He regarded her with a raised eyebrow after a moments consideration. He changed the subject swiftly. "Tell me, of which House were you born into, Lady Ellyn? Your very essence speaks of nobility." "I doubt there are many here who do not have noble blood, Ser Patrek. Lord Lannister would not lavish such a feast for the common folk I think" she paused before answering his question "But I am now of House Celtigar of Claw Isle, though I was born to House Valeryon of Dragonstone originally" She took a sip of her wine and continued "I am sorry for the loss of your lady wife however, Ser. May I ask how she died?" she looked sympathetic "Some certainly more than others," Patrek noted. He had witnessed many classless and graceless acts commited by the 'Ladies' of the court. Hell, the Northerners even brough a bastard to court. Disgraceful. "Though as to my wife," he said, looking at the dwarves for just a moment. "Childbirth, as so many pass. Though it was years ago, and I shall not trouble you with the memory." He smiled, and regarded her. "Velaryon, hmm? Curious."

Lyanna makes her way through the guests toward the beverages when he spots a familiar arms. "Lord Horas," he smiled at the Lord of Raventree. "A pleasure." ----------------------------------------------------------------- Horas looked at the Frey, "Greetings Frey." He replied simply. "You looked terribly alone, and I thought you might enjoy some company for a time," Lyanna smiled. Cunning 65 (Persuasion)

"Curious? If you say so Ser, but everyone comes from somewhere. We tend to be an aloof people though - suspicious of outsiders, perhaps because we see so few" she took a small sip of wine and continued.
"A shame about your wife never the less, Ser Patrek. I pray that the babe was saved at least? Sometimes I think the birthing bed claims more lives than the battlefield. At least you men get to see your dangers face to face. We have to content ourselves with praying to the Mother for her blessings and to the Stranger avert his gaze during such times. I have been fortunate with mine own children" she paused and smiled briefly "Though I did not feel so at the time, I assure you"

"The child did live, as healthy as any. She is my fourth born, and a very lively young girl," he answered before also taking a drink of his wine. He looked at her in the eye, then.
"I find it curious because it is not often a woman of higher standing is married to that of lower. Especially one of your many graces. May I ask if it were for love?"

Ellyn chuckled "For money & politics. A poor honorable house is still a poor house. I was the third daughter so there was little risk of any of my sons or daughters vying for my father's seat on Dragonstone" she shrugged. "It was a good a match as any. It was either him or old Lord Bar Emmon and I'd rather a husband nearer my age than one nearly double with bad breath to boot"
She looked across at Ser Patrek. "And you, Ser Patrek? Have you not remarried? I'd imagine the heir to the Crossing being a fine catch for many noble ladies and their father's to seek out"

Hallis Dustin was fetching himself a spot of food from one of the tables, and when he turned around he bumped into Marq Allyrion. "Ah... Excuse me, ser..."

"Do not worry," he replied flatly, not giving the man a glance and was glaring at the door to the outside. He sighed and turned to face the man though after a second and gave a half smile, "No harm done, I don't think we've met, I am Ser Marq Allyrion, to whom may I ask do I have the pleasure of speaking," he asked, the last part sounding very rehearsed.

"That I am," he said, smiling more genuinely, and shook it, "Right in the middle of the desert. Dustin is a Northern house of course, you couldn't be further away." he went on, smile becoming a grin.

"Well I could be if I was an Umber, I suppose," Hallis responded with a grin. He flagged down a passing servant and asked for an ale. "Desert you say. I can't imagine."
