Piers laughed, "The failure of speaking in metaphors is that it is so simple to mistake what you mean to be saying." He suddenly spun her around once, and then dipped her. "So Marq... thats his name right? Should I find some wench to entertain him?" "Yes, Marq." she nodded as she was pulled back up from the dip, laughing softly at both the movement and at what he said, "I'd like to think he could find his own." she said, sighing, "but he doesn't seem to be interested, and he got rather annoyed the other night," she explained, frowning a bit and shook her head, "I don't think he'd appreciate you throwing some girl at him."

Piers looked at her, "What did you tell him?" He smiled, and added, "Would a boy be a better distraction?"

"I didn't tell him anything." she said, "I didn't need to." she went on in more of a mutter, and hit him playfully in the arm at his latter comment, "That wouldn't endear you to him, shall we say,"

"You did not need too? Does he have eyes in the palace?" Piers seemed a little incredulous about the notion, and maybe professionally insulted.

Myranda laughed at the thought of that, "No, don't worry, the only eyes he has are his own, and they are not only rose tinted but also half closed, I fear. It's just complicated." she said, "and hard to explain, so I think I shall save the explanation for a more appropriate venue... suffice to say I was a little annoyed as well."

"I can imagine. Some man watching everything you do with out any care for your own personal privace." He shivered and laughed, "Thinking about it more... those men should be given lands and titles."

"It's not like that, it's hard to explain." she reiterated, but smiled at him, "And why is that?"

Piers looked at her, and tilted his head, "Well because I do it for a living, and I want to be amply rewarded." He stopped, and snickered, "Hell I have been more then amply rewarded. From son of Drunken, barely-landed Knight, to Lord Of Lannistport, and Master of Coins."

"And all that from the ability to juggle? I should have learnt years ago," she jested, grinning at him somewhat slyly

Piers nodded, "Juggling is the foundation to the Bettly empire." He chuckled, and winked at her.

"Then I can be nothing but honoured that you have agreed to teach a simple Dornish girl like me them, your generosity and goodwill touches me." she remarked playfully, and continued walking on again.

Piers chuckled, and walked with her quietly for a while. "Where are we heading? The only thing left out here are dark alcoves.... Oh I like this."

"Are there only those?" she said, innocently, "We should probably go back then, to all the interesting things happening in the halls." Myranda went on, smirking round at him.

Piers laughed, and grabbed her hand, and pulled her into a dark alcove, and they disappeared.

"I was once wed to one of his kin," he said with an empty smile. "Though I dare say I did not attend many of his lavish feasts." He regarded her with a raised eyebrow after a moments consideration. He changed the subject swiftly. "Tell me, of which House were you born into, Lady Ellyn? Your very essence speaks of nobility." "I doubt there are many here who do not have noble blood, Ser Patrek. Lord Lannister would not lavish such a feast for the common folk I think" she paused before answering his question "But I am now of House Celtigar of Claw Isle, though I was born to House Valeryon of Dragonstone originally" She took a sip of her wine and continued "I am sorry for the loss of your lady wife however, Ser. May I ask how she died?" she looked sympathetic
