[The Smith]

Royce leaned back, and slouched down into his chair, "Unacceptable, and you fucking know it."

[Fel]

Perros shrugged, "it's not for me to know anything, that is what the princess desires. I presume you want to meet with her because you want something from her? Lord Royce, it seems to me the princess would be far more accommodating if you in turn showed her this respect."

[The Smith]

"The princess sends a representaive that knows nothing, and can barely speak for her, and I am suppose to think these signs of respect." Breyn replied, his face neutral.

[Fel]

"Would you like to discuss this issue or would you like to extend further insults?" Perros said amused, with an inclination of his head.

[The Smith]

Breyn stared at the other man, "I am sorry, I thought you were done."

[Fel]

Perros shook his head. "No, I was attempting to explain to you why I felt it made sense to hold a meeting between yourself and Princess Emelia in Sunspear. I do apologise if I lacked clarity."

[The Smith]

"Were you done, or did you have further points?" Breyn asked.

[Fel]

"I am done in making my initial point," he nodded, "but the discussion, such as it is, continues."

[The Smith]

"I am the hand to the king, and as such my many duties are here in King's Landing. I understand the same can be said of Emelia, but it is a cse of apples and oranges. She has single, rather small kingdom to guide, I must steer seven kingdoms, and a spat of islands. From a logical perspective, she must come here." Breyn replied.

[Fel]

"I appreciate that the duties of the regency are many and demanding," he said, "but you have an excellent council who seem well equipped to deal with a temporary absence by you without letting the kingdoms fall to pieces. Have you never returned to your home in the Vale since taking the post of Lord Hand?" he asked, in a reasoned tone.

"Of course, the duties of ruling the realm have traditionally been split between two people. 'What the king dreams the hand builds' goes the saying, doesn't it? Is there not a man on your council you trust to be the Hand to your regency?" he said, almost idly.

[The Smith]

Breyn studied Yronwood, "Does Emelia truly desire the role of hand?"

[Fel]

"I don't pretend to know what the princess wants," he saidwith a secretive smile, "but I assume the position of Hand is not bought simply by agreeing to your choice of locale for this meeting. I would imagine a higher price would be asked, and that is best saved for negotiations between the two of you." "

My mandate is simply to make you see that your goals are not completely at odds with the Princess's. She wishes to have the meeting take place in Sunspear, and you wish her to be more amenable to the offer you plan to make concerning Dorne's connection to the kingdom, these things are one and the same."

[The Smith]

Breyn thought a moment, "If I summon Emelia, and she does not come. It will mean war. It must."

[Fel]

Perros looked Breyn in the eyes. "That is your choice to make, from my histories I would certainly say it would go down as one of the thinnest justifications for war the kingdom has ever seen. Dorne pays its taxes to the Iron Throne. Under the terms that were agreed to at the end of the last war, Dorne is not subject to the same laws as the rest of the realms. You want to change that, I understand, but you can not expect that change to come cheap."

"But if you would rather war than suffer a bruised ego, then do not think Dorne will flinch for a moment. The only thing we value above peace is our independence."

Breyn replied, "The deal was made with the King of the Seven Kingdoms, and it is his right to simply repeal it if he thought that the best for the realms."
