"Oh, as well as can be," Lyelle replied with a slight roll of the eyes. "My idiot brother, who unfortunately also happens to be the heir to house Bolton, got into a tavern brawl and beat up poor Mark Toland." It was evident by her speech patterns that Lyelle spoke of everything in a highly exaggerated manner, a certain trained haughtiness in her voice. "And how fairs Claw Isle? I cannot say that I have ever visited, nor heard much of your home but it sounds awwwfully exciting!"

"Claw Isle fairs well" Ellyn replys carefully, certain she is being mocked. "The fishing fleet have had a good season and we hold our own in trade. We may be no White Harbour, but we do well enough"
"Perhaps you could visit on your way home, if it takes your fancy. It may not be as large as the Dreadfort, but I assure you I set as good a table as any save Highgarden itself. It is a shame your brother got in that fight, but I find that men become brutish when plied with ale and left in rough company" she sniffed disapprovingly. "My husband has a vassal who is such a man. A foul smelling loud-mouthed braggard when the drink takes him"

"Oh, that would be a joy!" Lyelle replied brightly. "This is the first time I have left the North and if I manage to convince father, which should be easy," she fluttered her lashes and made a cute face "then I shall visit once the tourney is done! Oh, how exciting!" She paused. "I will have to make sure father finds someone other than my brother to "guard" me while I visit."

Lady Ellyn smiled "Excellent. It has been too long since we last hosted some noble guests" "I'm sure Becca here would love to hear some stories of the North. Those are always the ones she liked the most..."
"I want to see a giant! Have you seen a giant?" Becca exclaims eagerly at Lyelle "I bet they're 100 feet tall!" she says with a grin. "Not now, Becca" Ellyn interrupted "You are welcome to call upon us at any time, Lady Bolton. My husband and I" she gestures across to the corner where Lord Celtigar stands talking with his brother "Will be honoured if you choose to visit us. I hear that Lord Stark's sister is to be wed soon. My husband and I were planning on attending. Have you met any of the Greyjoys? They have a...fearsome reputation" she says anxiously

"I think my siblings Jon and Lyanne left not long after I did to attend the wedding," Lyelle replied. "Even if you were to leave now I believe you would not make it. How unfortunate!" She quickly plucked a small wooden etui from her bag and began to apply some powder to her face. "As for the Greyjoys... I have heard much of them." She looked up at Ellyn. "Father does not like them very much. He says they are cruel raiders!"

"Ah, that is unfortunate. I hope it all goes well, despite your worries over their character. I share similar misgivings and am glad that my home lies far from their shores!" Ellyn replied

"The Dreadfort is fortunately on the opposite side of the North, but still..." She put her etui away and smiled. "I am sure nothing bad will come of it however." She studied Ellyn for a moment. "May I ask of what house you were before marrying your husband?"

"I'm the third daughter of Lord Robert Velaryon of Dragonstone. My father thought it a good match and I've...found some joy out of it in the end" she said, squeezing her daughter's shoulder almost subconciously.
"Are you betrothed yet, Lady Bolton?" she asked

"Oh, Dragonstone! Is it true that there are dragons carved from stone on the island?" Lyelle's eyes were bright and her lips in a wide smile. "And no, I am not betrothed, thank the old Gods! Though I believe father has certain reasons for me being here..."

Ellyn smiled "Indeed there are. You know your history" she said approvingly. "They scared me when I was little, they looked so lifelike. My father said that legends say that when our home is threatened the dragons come to life to protect us. They looked so fearsome that I had nightmares for a week! Thankfully I soon outgrew such childishness but the stonework by those masons is truly incredible. Only Kings Landing is it's equal I think, though I hear Storms End is equally impressive"
"Well your Lord Father is very shrewd I must say. All the lords of the land will be hear to greet his Grace and I'm sure there will be several handsome young men amongst them. I hope your father does you the courtesy of consulting you before a choice is made" she says a little sadly.
"If not, I'm sure your brother can beat them senseless for you if you dislike them" she laughed softly

Lyelle giggled. "Oh, he is good for that I suppose! And I do hope father gives me at least some form of choice... my sister Lyanne has it much better in that regard. She's wild like the North and can just pick whomever she wants." The girl looked thoughtful for a moment before smiling. "But whatever happens I will definitely visit your home!"

Ellyn gave a small smile "Becca here is the same I think. Too wild to listen to me as often as she should in either case. I hear that the girls in the North have greater freedom in marriages, though not as much as those in Dorne. They are postively indecent. And those poor Iron women...I trust Lady Stark will be more...cared for than most women who call those isles home" she said apprehensively

Lyelle gave a small frown. "I cannot imagine what it must feel like for the poor lady Stark to have to go to the islands with her new husband. Though I am interested in Dorne... it seems like a very different place to the North."

"Warmer at least I suppose. I don't really approve of their customs myself though. And their men are nearly as bad as the women..." she shakes her head and changes the subject.
"In any case, I have kept you long enough Lady Bolton. I'm glad we had the chance to meet, even if my daughter needs to learn her manners, and as I said earlier you are welcome to call on my home whenever you so wish. I hope you pass on my good wishes to your Lord Father and the rest of your family" she does a small curtsy and struggles to get Becca to do likewise whilst she gapes at the other lords and ladies in their finery

"I thank you for the deliiightful conversation, lady Celtigar." Lyelle says with a curtsy of her own. "I shall speak to my father of you and tell him of the invitation. Have a pleasant day."
