"I make of you only what you are, Alario, and I am sure you know what you are, but it isn't very prudent to make assumptions upon a first meeting, nor is it wise to share the ones you do. Your sister, though, is a difficult sort to gauge," she mused speculatively, gazing at Loreza. "I will say that much."

Alario sniggered, "you've got a diplomatic one there, Brecol, she should be at court."
Loreza met the gaze without showing signs of discomfort. She pulled a dirk from her belt and flipped it in her hand a few times. "I'm being trained by Alario, he's making me into a warrior," she said.

Cereza nodded to Loreza, as if recognition had dawned.
"Ah, I'm sure she'd revel in it, but diplomacy is such a bore, don't you think? I don't think I could stomach it for long." mused Brecol.

Alario snorted, "the only diplomacy I know is the one resolved by the edge of a blade. Come to think of it, I'd make a rather good diplomat, nobody would disagree with me for fear of a dagger in their belly."

"As you say, cousin," laughed Brecol, and lifted his glass in a toast "To true Dornish diplomacy!" he roared, standing up, and calling the attention of many nearby tables, "may our tongues keep sharp, and our blades sharper still!"

"I will go have a seat by the fire," he said nodding toward. "And enjoy the taste of home." He shrugged. "They say Kings Landing is a place of opportunity. I pray my next venture proves fruitful," he added, answering the intended question. "You have something already lined up?" he asked, looking at the man. "I'm afraid not," he said heavily. "But us Dornish are a strong breed. I will endure."

Alario raised his goblet to the toast, "and may we always let our enemies know it!" "I'm afraid not," he said heavily. "But us Dornish are a strong breed. I will endure." "Well, there's always coin to be made for a man who can keep his ear to the ground, and bring back any interesting information," Rufio said. He poured himself some wine and lifted a mug to the cheers made by Brecol Yronwood.

"I'll keep that in mind," he said, nodding. He grinned for the first time. He lifted his mug and echoed the bartender.
"I'll be by the fire."

Rufio nodded the man off.

The man took his seat in the warmth of the fire. He sat facing the group of Dornishmen conversing merrily.

Alario turned over to look at the man who had taken a seat facing them. He considered the man with an almost unfathomable expression.
"What do you want?" he asked.

The man looked up from his cup of wine. "At this moment? The warmth of the fire, and good wine in my gullet," he said plainly. "Nothing else."
He looked back at his cup. He reflected upon the wine, cradling the cup in both hands as if it were something long missed.

Alario considered the man for a moment, then went back to ignoring him and throwing grapes into his mouth.
"You look lonely," Loreza said matter-of-factly to the man, "where are your people?"

He offered a small smile. "Your concern is flattering, though I am quite comfortable to be away from anybody I know now."
Regarding her, he cocked his head. He inhaled and considered his words. "Forgive me any slight, but you do not strike me as a common noblewoman."

"It was curiosity more than concern," Loreza said defensively.
"What ever do you mean?" she asked in response to the commentary, thrusting the dirk in hand down into the table.
