Ser Bransen smiled, that was as a generic answer as his own had been, it wasn't suprising that one's home was the most beautiful place in the world.
"So what have brought you here to King's Landing then? It's an awful long way from your precious Vale, is it not? The tourney isn't happening for a few months yet, so what would be the purpose for you coming here?"

"I have been here for closer to a year now. I thought it a good idea to see the capital and help the Hand. But mostly because the Vale for all it's glory is quite dull. Yes there are clansmen to fight but such disgusting men. If you can even call them men. More beasts then anything."

Ser Bransen smiled. He wasn't suprised to hear that the Vale was a dull place that one wanted to get out of, since there had to have been a reason for why the Vale had sided with the dragons in the first place.
"I have only read about the clans in the books back in maester Garmond's study, but I am sure that they bleed red just as you and I, though you are probably right in your assessment of them." he said and took a sip from his cup, letting the rest of his thoughts go as he enjoyed the taste of the wine.

"Bleed yes but act like a man no. But enough of the Vale. What do to you think of the wine?"

Ser Bransen sets down his cup of wine on the table.
"It tastes just fine, though I would have probably chosen something stronger myself, but I guess that is a matter of preference I guess."

"Thought you would prefer cider out most drinks as your family makes it."

Ser Bransen smiled.
"One might think so, Ser Tomas, but I prefer the taste of wine over cider. I guess that having endless supplies of it makes you less appreciative of something. I am sure you know what I mean, though I don't know what your house trade in?."

"I think you seem to believe I am a man who actually cared about what House Corbray trades." Tomas smiles jokingly, "My brother was the one who will wield Lady Forlorn and lead the house. I would much rather have fun."

Ser Bransen shook his head once again.
"Your brother might be the lord of the house, but you are it's heir so it's your responsibility to see to it that you do it honor, is it not? Fun is something you get to have after you've done your duty to your family and to your house, at least that is how it works in the Reach."

"Alaric is young he will take a wife and sire sons removing me from having the problem of actually becoming the Lord of Heart's Home."

Ser Bransen finished his cup of wine, and placed it on the table.
"That might be so, but we live in a dangerous world, the Stranger lurking behind any corner we might turn, so wouldn't it be better to prefer oneself in the case that what you don't want to happen, does?"

"It seems my beliefs and practices have offended in you in some manner. I do not ask why I feel that to see the world is my belief it simply is. I would never be able to live in one place for the rest of my life. Duty as my closest friend."

Ser Bransen shook his head.
"No, your ways don't offend me, Ser Tomas. I just find them a bit childish, at some point you have to let go of the dreams you had as child and accept the world you live in, even if it doesn't look exactly as you want it to."
