"Hightower, you old scallywag," Lord Hugo grins, rising to his feet again. He crosses the room in three large strides and gives the Lord of Oldtown a crushing hug. He releases the man after a moment, still grinning. "Did you see the gifts I brought you? More wine, and that ridiculous blue bird! The Summer Islanders call it a pea-cock, they tell me. Ha! Can you imagine?"

Hightower shifted slight, "I believe I can, yes." He sniffed, and his eyes flicked toward the woman before he continued, "Even though I do appreciate such novel gifts. More then I am worth I am sure."

"You sell yourself short, as usual," Hugo chuckles. He follows Hightower's eyes as they glance at the woman, and looks at her in turn. "Thanks for keeping me company, lass," he says warmly, "Don't let this old drunk keep you from your business, now."

Deliliah stood slowly, and curtsied again to both the Lords. "Have a good evening my lords." She left the room slowly. The whole way out Lord Hightower watched her leave.

After Delilah leaves, Hugo follows Hightower's eyes and nudges the other lord with his elbow. "You and her?" he grins. "Neville, you rascal! Ha!"

Neville nodded slowly, "Yes... it is going well." He sat down and wiped at his forehead.

"Are you okay, Neville? You're not looking so well." Hugo gives the other man a look of sympathy and pours him a drink. "Wine cures all ills. That's what my maester tells me, at least, so it must be true." He smiles in an attempt to cheer Hightower up.

Hightower sips from his wine, and says, "It is nothing Redwyne... I feel the eyes of house the lions on my back."

"Oh. Oh. So that's what the girl is about, is it." He is quiet for a while, a frown on his face, while he thinks that over. "That Lord Lannister, where does he get off thinking he can tell you what to do? Just send the wench home, Neville. What happens in Oldtown ain't his business."

"You know my Uncle's fate at the Lion's hand... and Erik Tyrell... has commanded me... Well..." He wiped his brow, "My Aunt and here four children just disappeared... I have my own family." He runs out of words, and frowns at his hands.

The Lord Redwyne lets out a deep sigh like the air rushing out of a bellows. "Oh, damn, Neville. That just isn't right." He drinks deeply, and tops off Hightower's cup, though the other man has barely sipped his wine. "I had a son sail off in that war and never come home," Hugo says. "But that's war, and now the war's done. If we have to kneel to the dragons, so be it. But this... this grasping, threats and disappearances. I don't much like it."
"You know you've got a friend in me if you need one, right Neville? Our houses may be linked by marriage, but that's as good as blood as far as I'm concerned."

Hightower looked up, and nodded, "I will do what I can for you as well, Hugo." He drank from the wine heavily. "Do you bring any news with you? Good would be more to my liking."

"There's to be a tourney in King's Landing. My boy means to win it," Hugo says with pride. "But why I came here, was to talk about our fleets. Yours is the next biggest around these parts, and it seems sensible to me that we work together. It's in my interest to guard your Whispering Sound as much as my Redwyne Straits. What do you say to organizing some training operations between the two of us, sharing harbors, setting up some sort of advance warning if there's raiders or pirates afoot? That sort of thing."

Neville smiled suddenly, and stood, "It would be good to get back to Sea. What did you have in mind?" He sipped from the wine, and leaned back content.

Hugo tugs on his beard while he thinks. "Well, if we let our fleets freely use each others' harbors, it would be easier to come to each others' aid, if one of us was in trouble. Maybe we get our captains together, let 'em mingle a bit. There's always a few pirates around these parts, maybe we could even cut down their numbers in the process."
