"Oh." Leon says, saddened, and feeling more foolish than a maester ought to feel.
"I tell you what, Vickon, why don't you stop by the Arbor next time you are in Oldtown? My lord is not exactly a patron of scholars, but his table is hospitable, his wine is free, and the climate is just lovely. I am sure we could find plenty to talk about."

"I may well take you up on that offer Maester Leon, once my duties here are finished. The Arbor has an interesting history itself and there may be some interesting texts in its library if the Lord allows me access" Vickon replied.
"Anyway, I have held you up long enough I fear and I should see about getting back to the Citadel for evening meal before my stomach wages it's own rebellion on my body" he says with a smile.
"Hopefully, we shall meet again in the future" he nods politely to the young man, before beginning to take his leave.

Leon smiles. "Then until we meet again, Maester Vickon," he says, giving the older man a deferential nod. He gathers up his books and speedily walks back to his ship.

The Grapes of Wrath docks in the Oldtown harbor once again. So soon after his last visit, Lord Hugo does not spend much time in the city and charts a low bottomed barge to take him up the river.
