House Redwyne
In Wine, Wisdom
House Redwyne is the ruling house of The Arbor, a large island off the southern coast of Westeros. The Arbor is renowned for its sprawling vineyards, said to produce some of the finest vintages in the world. The Redwynes live in The Vineyard, a long and low structure organized more like a pleasure garden than a defensive fortification. To keep out enemies, the Redwynes rely far more on their wooden walls: the great Arbor fleet. The sale of wine provides House Redwyne with great wealth, which allows the Redwynes to support their opulent, wine-drenched lifestyle.
In the War of Stag and Dragon, the Redwynes took up the loyalist cause under the Warden of the South, Lord Randyll Tyrell. The Arbor fleet clashed with the Targaryen-controlled Royal fleet; the result was inconclusive, with both sides withdrawing battered and bruised. House Redwyne bent the knee with the rest of the Reach lords at the war’s end. Lord Hugo Redwyne’s generosity and good cheer has made him well-loved among his peers, but his family’s antics cause most to perceive House Redwyne as a lightweight in the game of thrones, and it is easy to forget that Lord Hugo himself is among Westeros’ foremost admirals.

Warfare: 118 Strategy, Endurance
Stewardship: 50
Cunning: 40
Description: The Lord of the Arbor is a massive man with a large belly and a long, curly, orange beard which has gone mostly to grey. A good-natured, generous man, he likes nothing more than a good drink among friends. He is slow to anger, but when he does, all the demons of the Seven Hells could not hold him back. He commands battles with his gut, but his gut never leads him astray.

Description: The heir to House Redwyne is uninterested in the banal chores of leadership. He chooses instead to spend his time practicing his swordsmanship, drinking, dicing, and planting his garden of Flowers, a new member of which seems to pop up every season. His good looks lend him a careless arrogance, but also a certain charm.
Second Tier Characters
Ser Ryon Redwyne, called 'the Sober', age 29
Combat: 36 Fighting
Knowledge: 36 Languages
Cunning: 50
Description: The younger of the surviving Redwyne brothers, Ser Ryon is the lesser sword but undoubtedly the more intelligent and clear-headed of the two. His sobriquet stems both from his quiet, exasperated demeanor and his abstinence from drink -- a notably bizarre trait on an island of drunks. Dark haired, with a gaunt frame and tired eyes.
Oromyr Redwyne, 47 years old
Combat: 36 Fighting
Warfare: 108 Strategy
Cunning: 50
Description: Oromyr Redwyne is Lord Hugo's younger brother, the commander of the patrolling fleet in the Redwyne Straits, and captain of the Lady Victory. Tough, whip-smart, and battle hungry, Oromyr possesses a certain air of chivalry but believes that there is no place for mercy in war.
Maester Leon, 25 years old
Knowledge: 46 Learning, Healing
Stewardship: 50
Cunning: 40
Description: Often called "Cousin Leon," Leon Redwyne is Oromyr's son and the Maester of the Vineyard. Leon serves both as a traditional maester and as the man trusted with creating and caring for the Arbor's fabled grapes. Though young for his post, he loves his work and bubbles with enthusiasm for everything he does.
Penn Flowers, 16 years old
Will: 20
Survival: 40 Stealth
Cunning: 45 Deception
Description: The oldest of the group of bastards mockingly referred to as "Ranulf's Flower garden," Penn Flowers is barred from living at The Vineyard by his father's lady wife. Existing at the edges of House Redwyne, Penn has developed a budding talent for skullduggery. While his parents ignore him, his grandmother has seen fit to utilize the scrawny youth's talents.
Ser Mandon Stonecrab, called Stonecrab, age 30
Combat: 41 Fighting
Warfare: 98
Stewardship: 65 Bargaining
Description: Ser Mandon Stonecrab is the heir to Starfish Bay. A stout, practical man who wields a mace and has an eye for a good deal. He sports a truly magnificent mustache, and is good friends with both of the younger Redwyne brothers, despite their differences.
