3) The Westerlands
4) The Worm
5) Expert Political Intrigue Expert Infiltration
Apprentice: Ambushing Apprentice: Sword fighting
Novice: Persuasion Novice: Horse riding
Beginner: Disguises Beginner: Survival
6) Second - vacant
7) Brother to Ser Zachary Lannister, Ser Steffen is the older son of Randwin Lannister and a second-cousin to Lady Jeyne Lannister. Unlike most boys his age, Steffen did not dream of battle. He dreamt of a throne, and power since the tender age of 11. Although commonly displaying talent at both swordplay and horse riding, Steffen frustrated his father, who was to depart westeros soon after, by showing more interest in maps, listening to tales of kings and dragons and chasing local peasant girls.
As a result, Steffen found himself negelected, and grew closer to his champion Spear, and other lowborn friends. It was among these that Steffen found his love of trickery and falseness. The more he listened to mercenary tales of riches, often coupled with betrayal, the more Steffen questioned the ideas of honour and loyalty he had been weaned on. After his father departed Westoros, Steffen immediately began to ply his trade in Lannisport, bribing petty lords, 'taxing' the locals, and building himself a powerbase in the area.
Steffen gained extensive contacts throughout Lannisport, slowly building his wealth. He was reported to have gained his knighthood by bribing ser Arthur Marbrand at the age of 17, although like many things concerning the Worm, it was never proved. It was during this time that he began to being referred to as 'the Worm' as opposed to 'the Lion', due to his apparent desire for talking, or 'avoidance of battle', and his particularly oily charm used when talking to superiors. To the horror of family members, Steffen took the title on, adding a sigil of a worm next to the golden lion of lannister.
At the battle of the Golden tooth he was responsible for ambushing the rear of the enemy, although it is rumoured that Steffen himself stayed out of the battle, having a loyal sword arm wear his arms while he 'entertained' the daughter of a local petty lord. At the age of 22, he was expelled by Lord Baldwin, only for him to ply his trade of treachory in the Reach. Although it has never been proved, Steffen was rumoured to lead a group of mercenaries there, ambushing trade wagons and even attacking the odd village. After 2 long years of absence, he returned to Lannisport assuming a position of power in the city, much to the dismay of local residents, and to his younger brother ser Zachary.
Following this return, Steffen continued to get himself involved in various underhand dirty schemes, including assuming control over Riverrun through weaselly means and managing to seal a marriage with the Targaryen Princess Daena, beating many other potential suitors to her hand, the couple having two children, Alessa and Zachary. He also secured himself a place on the Targaryens' Small Council as Master of Coin for a few years. This period can be seen as his highpoint, as things went downhill on King Callen's return. Callen's Ironborn allies captured and razed Riverrun, his seat. Naturally, with the Lannisters being the final family to remain in support of the Targaryens, he lost his place on the Small Council shortly afterwards.
Steffen's final major act before entering into a period as something of a total recluse, was brokering a 'secret deal' with Rhodri Arryn, allowing him to walk away unharmed from the Golden Tooth, a castle he had occupied in the Lannister's name when the army of Callen came calling during Allard's rebellion.
Little is known of what he has done in the decade-or-so since then. Early in this period, it is known that his wife, Daena Targaryen, and their son Zachary were murdered. It is not known who committed this crime however, and Steffen has remained very tight-lipped on the subject. He has remained very much out of the public eye, leading some to begin speculation over his death. He is however, very much alive, and recently negoiated a marriage between his only daughter Alessa and Lord Rhaegar Velaryon, attending the wedding at Driftmark himself.
8) At just above average height, and of slim build, Steffen bears a bald head, blue eyes, thick eyebrows and high cheekbones. Steffen is famed for dressing less than spectacularly, preffering simpler clothes than most members of the lannister house. Clean-shaven, Steffen bears a childhood scar on his leg from falling on a sword.
9) Ser Steffen has an incredibly poor reputation. This was first gained at a young age when he beat a whore to death in public, in an argument over payment. He has not changed much since. He is known as being cruel and cowardly, ever hungry for power - using whatever cunning tactics are needed to take it.
He is heavily mistrusted by the Baratheon establishment, having been a staunch supporter of the Targaryen Kings for many years, and indeed, having been married to a Targaryen Princess.

1) Character Name: Ser Byren Selmy
2) Character Age: 20
3) Character Nationality: Stormlands
4) Character Byname: None
5) Character Skills: Expert: Sword Fighting Noteworthy: Joust Noteworthy: Horse Riding Apprentice: Stewardship Apprentice: Battle Command Novice: Charm Novice: Espionage Beginner: Archery Beginner: Fist Fighting
6) Character's Second: None
7) Character Personal History: Byren was born the second son of the Knight of Harvest Hall, Bertram Selmy his older brother. He was raised to be a good knight and person, although he was never given much training in the way of Lordship. He became a ward for Lord Hasty when he was 8, and became a squire for him when he was 10. When he was 16 he was knighted by Lord Hasty, although it was more of a good-will sign towards House Selmy than an honest to got knighting.
When his older brother Byren entered the Kingsguard Byren knew what it meant—that he was now the lord of Harvest Hall. He chose to keep the ancestral custom of being the Knight of Harvest Hall, as it was once a small house created by a knight.
8) Character Physical Description: Byren stands at 5’10” and is more lean than muscular. He has short brown hair that curls, and bright blue eyes with a bit of gold speckled on the inside. He could be described as handsome, although others usually have the luck with women. He wears a brown tunic with a golden wheat colored cloak, with three stalks of wheat forged in gold used as a brooch.
9) Character Reputation: Ser Byren Selmy is known in the Stormlands only as a young man with much potential.

Post by Valeras Tyrell on Jun 9, 2008 3:55:36 GMT -5
1) Character Name: Valeras Tyrell
2) Character Age: 17
3) Character Nationality: The Reach
4) Character Byname:
5) Character Skills:
Expert: Courtier's Grace Noteworthy: Bladesmanship Noteworthy: Poisons Apprentice: Horsemanship Apprentice: Disguise Novice: Lore Novice: Battle Beginner: Languages (Valyrian) Beginner: Lance
6) Second: Ser Ryker Hill, giant-blooded hirelance sworn to House Tyrell.
7) Character Personal History: Valeras Tyrell is the third son of Valis Tyrell, and so a minor branch of the Tyrell tree. He's had an uneventful life...well, mostly uneventful, anyhow, and now lives at Highgarden as one of the Tyrells of the blood royal. He is currently a squire in training, but spends more time dancing around the court (and the eligible young ladies) than practicing the knight's arts. Nonetheless, occasional duels over said young ladies have done -something- to refine his swordsmanship. He has also trained somewhat in the more ruthless styles his master learned in border wars with Dorne.
8) Physical Description: Six feet even, Valeras Tyrell doesn't have much muscle on him; he's best called a "lean" man, and prefers lighter armor and a thinner blade than a knight's weapon (currently, he uses twin shortswords). He is beautiful of face, with golden hair and blue eyes like a Lannister's, and arched, delicate cheekbones. He can always be found dressed in the latest silks.
9) Character Reputation: He's a Highgarden fop who can make a pass with a blade now and then.
Second:
1) Character Name: Ser Ryker Hill
2) Character Age: 48
3) Character Nationality: Born in the Westerlands, now resides in the Reach
4) Byname: The Hill
5) Character Skills:
Noteworthy: Battle Noteworthy: Swordsmanship Apprentice: Giant Strength Apprentice: Lance Novice: Horsemanship Novice: Ambush Beginner: Charm Beginner: Survival
6) History: Ser Ryker Hill was a baseborn hirelance who joined House Tyrell in a border skirmish with Dorne a bit before Valeras' birth. Impressing the Tyrells with his ability, not to mention his raw strength, they took him on as a household knight, and when Valeras turned fourteen, he was assigned as the boy's mentor.
7) Description: Fucking big. Ryker Hill is nearly as large as the mammoth-riding giants of the north, standing somewhere over eight feet and weighing far more than a small horse can bear without complaint. He has black hair and a bushy beard, as well as a wrinkled and leathery face.
8) Reputation: Ryker is known for being a warrior of immense strength, killing men and horses alike in over twenty years of warfare. Not nearly as well thought of in the brains department.

Hello everyone!
1) Character Name: Aldrys
2) Character Age: 26
3) Character Nationality: Originally Crannogman, currently has no allegience.
4) Character Byname: Currently, none
5) Character Skills:
Expert: Acting
Noteworthy: Stealth, Sleight of Hand
Apprentice: Spear, Acrobatics
Novice: Running, Cooking
Beginner: Healing, Tracking
6) Character's Second:
Currently none
7) Character Personal History:
Aldryd was born a Crannogman and raised as a hunter by his father. He lived a simple life in a village so small and so deep in the marsh that even the other Crannogmen considered his village uncivilized. When he was thirteen, he got it into his head that he was a man and ran away from home for all the silly, short-sighted reasons young men leave home. A few weeks and about a few hundred miles south later, he realized that he had nothing but a spear and the clothes on his back in the middle of the wilderness.
So he tried to find work. At first, he thought he might be a sailor, but the salt irritated him. Then he thought he might be a farmer, but the work was too boring. Finally, he became what all children with no home and a good sense of how to use a weapon become; a thief.
But the cities frightened him, and the one time he tried to go into one a guard nearly took his spear, so he kept to the outskirts of cities, preying on the lone and the wealthy, sneaking into cities to trade his gains for food and clothes. Amazingly, till he was nineteen he'd never had to kill to make a profit. One night, that changed.
He had a golden-haired nobleman, some fifth son of a distant uncle of a notable noble by the look of him, at spearpoint, when the man's guard came back from taking a piss. He killed the guard and the nobleman, and ran terrified without taking a thing. He was shaken, and knew he couldn't continue living the life of a thief. So, he became what any young man with no home and a great fear of combat becomes; a mummer.
He spent three years traveling with a mummer's show, learning to act and perform, and it was in this time that he learned a simple truth about all men: they are easily fooled. So he left the troupe and returned to his old trade, but with a distinctly nefarious twist. He put the skills he'd acquired from the mummers to use and became a genuine thief, breaking and sneaking his way into the homes of the wealthy and stealing their possessions. Then, putting his knowledge of human nature to use, he turned himself into the highest form of a thief: a con-man.
He would steal from the rich and the next day sell their own goods right back to them. Moving from city to city, he made himself into a seller of priceless rarities and antiques, many of his wares actually being wholly common. Aldrys, sticking to his tenant that people are easy to fool, spent the past three years not only avoiding capture, but openly displaying his stolen items for people to buy.
8) Character Physical Description:
Taller than the average Crannogman, but only enough that it's noticeable. He has dark brown hair and eyes. He's muscular, but not bulky. He has no distinguishing physical characteristics, and although he has a pleasant enough face he is not particularly handsome. Altogether average and forgetable.
9) Character Reputation: Currently, none.
10) Your AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ or email address (so other players may have the opportunity to contact you).
AIM: Aldrys12
I hope everything's ok!
Edit: fixed a little mistake.
Double edit: Made a few adjustments.

Character Name:
Serafina Swann
Character Age:
Twenty-Five (Born: 499)
Character Nationality:
The Stormlands
Character Byname:
N/A
Character Skills:
Expert: Intrigue
Noteworthy: Archery Noteworthy: Swordsmanship
Apprentice: Stealth Apprentice: Dagger-work
Novice: Poison Novice: Disguise
Beginner: Sailing Beginner: Horsemanship
Character Second:
Olvido Ramiri: Aged 23 (Born: 501)
A Braavosi man who grew up at Braavos' Palace--a long time friend to Serafina, and, rumours say, a paramour. The head of her guard, and network.
Character Personal History:
Serafina was born and raised in the Stormlands, and lived a majority of her young life there, with her father, Greggory Swann. She was the queer product of a Westerosi father, and a Braavosi mother, who had been in Westeros as a temporary ambassador, a close personal friend of the previous Sea Lord; Greggory had fallen madly in love with Cerelle, who was as cold, and callous as she was exotically beautiful. Her marriage to Swann, who had been young at the time, and the second of three brothers, came only of her whim to make the Sea Lord jealous. They had had numerous affairs, but he had never asked her hand, though she knew he liked her well.
The union was true to its purpose, and the Sea Lord called her back immediately when he heard of her union, though by this time, she was already with child, and she forced him to wait until the girl was birthed. Her parents never saw each other again after the day she was born, though her father yearned for years for his missing wife, and would often tell love-sick stories to Serafina, about their “star-crossed love.”
On her eleventh birthday, Serafina was sent to Braavos, for her mother wished her to learn the ways of her heritage—she spent her adolescent years in the palace, often the subject of gossip, taking directly after her mother in this respect. It was Cerelle Loume who opened her eyes to the world of politics. For a woman, her network of spies was extraordinary—there were entire families that had worked for her ancestors going back generations. Her mother’s family was ancient, and wealthy, and could easily afford these connections, which spanned a majority of the globe—she was trained as a boy might be, when sent to foster, in the ways of diplomacy, politics, and weaponry. She found herself taking after her mother in many ways—she grew indifferent to the plight of others, and became ruthless in regard to getting what she wanted. Her mother was a flighty woman, though, and Serafina could never shirk the devout loyalty and obstinacy which was innate to her father, and which he had instilled in her from a young age.
When Serafina was seventeen, her mother grew gravely ill, and died. The loss devastated her for several long, grievous months. Ultimately, though, she harnessed the rage she felt on behalf of her late mother, and channeled it into her studies—she took over her mother’s network, and practiced the sword for hours on end, often until she collapsed from the exertion.
For more than a year, she continued in this pattern, though she found herself slipping often into the frivolities that surrounded her, delighting in the attention of the men of the palace, particularly in those of the man who was soon to be named the new Sea Lord. Her life progressed thus for a while longer, until, at the age of twenty, she was sent abruptly to Lys under mysterious circumstances, to work for the Braavosi Ambassador. At twenty five, she returned home to Westeros to work in a similar capacity.
Physical Description:
Serafina is five feet and seven inches tall, with alabaster skin, and brown hair that is shocked with red. Her eyes are dark green.
Character Reputation:
Serafina often appears brutally honest, for she does not hesitate to say cruel things in polite company, though she is perfectly capable of censoring herself, and lies, sometimes indiscriminately. She is a very intelligent, capable woman, and unwaveringly loyal once she had pledged her fealty to anything or anyone.

Post by Trystane Storm on Jun 15, 2008 15:42:06 GMT -5
Character Name: Trystane Storm Character Age: 24 (Born 23rd of the Second Month, 500) Character Nationality: Andal (Stormlands) Character Byname: The Storm King (By his men and friend's, generally in jest but every now and again in reverence)
Character Skills: Expert: Swordsmanship (Hand-and-a-half (Bastard) sword) Noteworthy: Riding (Coursers generally) Noteworthy: Battle Tactics Apprentice: Lance Apprentice: Leadership Novice: Grappling Novice: Athletics (Running in armour, etc...) Beginner: Inventiveness Beginner: Woodsmanship
Character Personal History: Born in Storm's End to a poor fish-wife, Trystane never knew his father. His mother said he was a well-to-do lord, but never told him which. This was the source of many arguments between them. At the age of eleven, he was squired off to a hedge-knight, Will Scatloch, very skilled but not rich in the least. He taught him many different unorthodox fighting techniques including half-swording, grappling and the best ways to fight in half-plate (Which was all they could afford).
Will eventually realized that Trystane had a potential far beyond his own, as he began to outpace and outfight him, inventing new moves on the spot to defeat him. This was when he brought him to a tourney back in Storm's End. Not a big one, but with a fairly large entry fee. Will put his belongings on the line to get Trystane into it, and he was paid off. Trystane won the melee, besting many knights who had been fighting for decades. This brought them some much needed money. This began a cycle, whereby they went to the smaller tournaments and won, garnering a small bit of money to keep everything together.
It had started with Trystane following the hedge-knight Scatloch, but when he started into his twenties, the situation reversed itself and Trystane began choosing where they would go, and eventually leading the small party altogether.
At points other men would join, but as the money faltered, generally did their loyalty. Trystane could inspire some to stay on, but as they began to starve, leaving began to look very appetizing. Now, without much choice, he began doing tournaments yet again, whereby he found himself in Storm's End again. He searched out his mother and finding news that she had died several years previously from the sickness, he decided to set out and find his father, difficult a task though it might seem, having very little knowledge of him.
Character Physical Description: Trystane is a tall, well-built man, quite strong. A short crop of chestnut-brown hair sits atop a well-angled face. Some small scars dot his body and cheeks, but are mostly covered by the short, scraggly beard that grows on face. A suit of half-plate armour is often worn, this protects the vital spots while allowing for more mobility and a sentinel helm atop his head. A simple, yet well made bastard sword hangs on his back in a black-leather scabbard.
Character Reputation:
Trystane has always had a knack for springing surprises on his enemies, and this makes way well into his fighting. His sword-fighting is very unorthodox in the usual perspective in that he uses a technique called 'half-swording' which involves grabbing the blade of the sword as well as the hilt to increase the power on the tip, thus enabling it to stab into almost any armour. He also has a tendency to fight somewhat "dirty", involving tackling enemies into the ground to grapple with them, and in his lighter half-plate is generally fairly agile.
In the world away from fighting, Trystane has always been giving as a charismatic man, winning arguments with an odd ease. Usually cool, he has sometimes been given into an angry rage, lashing out at anyone around him, this however, is rare.

Cassius Royce, his young cousing, age 17
Noteworthy: Short Sword, Fist fighting Apprentice: Singing, Javelin Novice: Stealth, Climbing Beginner: Lock picking, General Weapon's usage
7) Character Personal History:
No man knows the truth of this man's birth and early life, save himself. The most popular rumour is that the maiden, in the mortal form of a silent sister (of House Royce), walked upon the earth and that her beauty drew more than the attention of mere mortals, but of the gods themselves. The Father and the Smith were the most vocal in their advances, but it was the Warrior who won the day. And when the child was finally born all the gods, including the spurned Smith and the bitter Father, agreed that this boy was to be a great warrior, perhaps the greatest of all.
The legend extends further when, eight days after Victarion was born, his mother took him to the sept in Gulltown. Taking the oil normally reserved for the Stranger, she poured it across the boy's crown and let it drip down his body until it completly covered him save his heel, in effect making him immortal to wounds. It was then that the Stranger appeared in the form of an old, leprous man. Pointing at the child he told the mother that in exchange for this gift of immortality the boy would have to become a great killer, a warrior that would bring many souls to the Stranger. And so far, Victarion has kept that promise.
Today, if asked about these stories and legends he will respond with a smile and silence. He fights for only one thing and one person, himself. With a boat and a band of loyal men following him he goes from battle to battle, war to war, all in order to win glory. He fights for no flag, and is loyal to no man. He now seeks a war in which his name will be remembered for centuries, millenia, to come. If he dies to make it so....so be it....
8) Character Physical Description:
Victarion is a strikingly handsome man, as befits the supposed son of the Maiden. He has dirty blond hair, and strikingly blue eyes. It was a warrior's stature and body that he walks. One that is suprisingly lithe and lean.
9) Character Reputation:
Victarion has the reputation of a great fighter and a great inspirer of men. He has participated in several wars across the narrow seas, each time seeking to carve his name into the books of men and the minds of scholars. He has become somewhat of a legend, for both his killing skills and for his blatant disregard and disrespect for anyone, especially people in positions of power. The only people he is seen conversing with civily are his warriors, whom he calls his 'Worker Bee's'. If any should seek his services they must be willing to accept his rudeness and disregard of power.
Some say that he is as much willing to bed men as woman, and he'll take his pleasure as he pleases. However, none can deny that as uncouth and as glory seeking as he is, there is a certain eloquence and honour in the man, in both speech and action.

Name: Ser Axel Lannister
Age: 20 (Born June 504)
Nationality: Westerlands
Skills: Expert: Battle, Sword Noteworthy: Lance Apprentice: Horse Riding, Intruige Novice: Bow, Speed Beginner: Leadership, Unarmed Fighting, Throwing Axes
Background: Born the first son of Tyrgon Lannister, lord of Castamere, and Agora Payne, Axel grew up with the attention a young, handsome lordling is bound to receive. Loud, combative and angry as a child, and prone to outbursts that his likeable young face belied, he was sometimes refered to as the Terror of Castamere in jest by his father's servant. However, his strict and sombre father soon curbed the boy's ways, and moulded him into a shape more fit for the heir of Castamere. No one is sure how exactly Lord Tyrgon imparted his wisdom on his son, but some remember the marked difference in Axel after he took a serious injury to his face during a hunting trip. The injury which forever scars his otherwise handsome face. Axel became more reserved, though still less reserved then most men, smiles began to come easily to him, almost too easily, and many have described him as charming. And his fits became fewer and fewer until they were a rarity. Though when seriously provoked, the old Terror within him can sometimes be seen boiling just below the surface of his cocky, bemused front, trying to escape and release it's wrath.
Axel has gone to battle multiple times, and proven himself to be a strong an able knight. He received his knighthood on the Field of Blood, where he saved the man he had been squired to from certain death. He fought in Dorne and gained reputation for accomplishing himself during the deciding Battle of Hellholt. More recently he has been away from Castamere some time, as he travels the lands of Westeros, with his companions Elson Garner and Ser Yvan Payne

7) Cedric and his brother are polar opposites. Born as the last sons of Lord Baldwin Lannister, the two chose two very different pursuits. Cedric chose the life of a noble-born son, scholarly and intelligent, while Clive chose the life of war and blade. Being only fourteen years old, the two have yet to blossom into their true selves, dabbling in what they believe to be their true callings. The two have been a bit out of the public eye for the passed year or so, but now begin to reimmerse themselves.
8) Cedric is of medium height for an adolescent, around 5'4'' and thin. He has a great tuft of curly, blazing, red-orange hair that domes about his head. He also has brown eyes. Clive is the same height as his twin, but stockier, owing to his years practicing with the mace and his constant brawling with youths. He keeps his hair cropped short, and it is more blond than red. Were it not for their difference in build and hairstyles, the two would be identical.
9) Character Reputation: Cedric is becoming notorious as a schemer, even at a young age, while Clive is considered more simple and naive, feeling that only true glory can be attained in combat.

Character Name: Lord Duncan Farman
Character Age: 15 (b. 510)
Character Nationality: Westerman
Character Skills: Noteworthy Swordsmanship Noteworthy Lance Apprentice Battle Apprentice Naval-Battle Novice Sailing Novice Unarmed Fighting Beginner Leadership Beginner Intrigue
Character Personal History: Lord Duncan grew up as the heir to Faircastle, and so from an early age was taught the skills of sailing, and of commanding men to battle at sea. He learned to command on land as well as to fight hand-to-hand from Faircastle's master-at-arms, Ser Mychel Hill. He ascended to the Lordship of Fairisle at the age of 12, when his father was convicted of murder and chose to take the black to commute his death sentence. Being still a boy, Lord Duncan had a regent appointed, Ser Mychel Hill, to oversee the daily running of his castle and holdings but then the War of Dornish Secession broke out and Ser Mychel sailed south to command Faircastle's armies in the southern deserts. As soon as the war ended Ser Mychel was offered a position on the Kingsguard, which he accepted leaving Lord Duncan's great-uncle Ser Addam Farman in the position of Regent. Lord Duncan has spent the years since his father's sentencing training to be a strong and able warrior and commander, as well as a competent lord over his people. He is a lord loyal to the Westerlands, although his emotions are often conflicted. As any son, he loves his father still but is unsure how to view him since so much of the realm sees the man as a vile murderer and traitor. Lord Duncan was not present at his father's trial, but he heard tales of the proceedings, of how Lord Jaymes had been forsaken by all the men of the west, and left to take the blame for the treachery of the Westerlands during the Crow's Coup, and so he is not fond of the men of many of the other Western Houses. Since becoming Lord, Duncan has not left his seat in Faircastle, save to practice his hand at the wheel of his ship.
Character Physical Description: Lord Duncan is a spitting image of his father, having grown nearly a foot and a half in the three years since he became the Lord. His hair is auburn, falling lazily to his shoulders in tangle curls, and his eyes are a harsh grey, so smoky as almost to be black. He's got a long face, that gives him an almost perpetual visage of solemnity. He's tall and thin, covered in wiry muscle, standing at nearly six foot although he is still growing and seems get taller by the day. He has become skilled with his father's favored weapon, the hand-and-a-half sword, although he wears his on his back as he is not yet tall enough to wear it at the waist.
Character Reputation: Lord Duncan is a young lord, with very little reputation of his own, although his father's name is known and hated across the realm so this sentiment often is applied to Lord Duncan as well, by those who do not know him.
