Name: Olander Reed, heir to Greywater Watch
Age: b.496 (26)
Nationality: Breather of mud, walker of leaves, talker to trees, changer of earth to water and water to earth, dreamer of greensight; a Crannogman
Skills: Expert Poison
Noteworthy Archery Noteworthy Ambushing
Apprentice Stealth Apprentice Spearfighting
Novice Persuasion Novice Greenseeing
Beginner Intrigue Beginner Daggerwork Personal History: Olander Reed was born the second son, but first trueborn heir, of Lord Bennard Reed. The young crannogman spent the childhood of his life in a brotherly, and not always friendly, rivalry with his year older bastard brother, whom it was obvious his father had a much greater fondness for. Where Olander would climb a tree, his brother would climb one taller. Where Olander would catch three frogs, his brother would catch four, and a catfish. Olander would skulk through the swamp and fell a lizard-lion with an arrow from twenty yards away, where his brother would charge through the water and slice its throat. They were as different as night and day, as were there temperaments, one moment the fastest of companions, the next mortal enemies.
His Lady Mother, Morgan Reed, made no effort to hide the distain for her husband's baseborn son, and on Olander's fourteenth nameday, his bastard brother left Greywater Watch for the southron lands. With his competition absent Olander was quick to try to earn his father's pride, sadly, to little end. Learning the arts of Crannogmen, the ways of the spear and bow, and the secret knowledge of the marsh did no good; even possessing the greensight wasn’t enough for his lord father, who forever saw him as the quiet, solemn, and lesser son for whom he had to settle.
Physical Description: Olander Reed is a slender, small man, as the Crannogmen are so wont to be. His hair is the color of dried mud and cropped short, sprouting in wiry locks this way and that from his scalp. The Crannogman’s face is sharp and somber, his chin framed with dusty brown whips of a goatee and his thin eyebrows more like than not furrowed above his moss green eyes. Olander favors dark, hardened brown leathers over linens in the green-grey of House Reed, colors better to blend into the marshlands of The Neck. He is forever with his arms: an unadorned yet no less lethal three-pronged short spear and round leather shield painted with a mossy lizard-lion stalking in black water; a simple bronze knife; and a black wood-and-horn longbow with a scaly leather quiver bristling with green-grey feathered arrows.
Reputation: Olander Reed is known as a solemn man, preferring to be silent if it can be helped and speaking briefly if it can’t. Rarely is he mirthful or irate, or anything much aside from aloof, calm and cool like the tepid swamps of The Neck.

Name: Ser Dunnock the Bloody Sparrow; Formerly the Bloody Bastard
Age: b.495 (27)
Nationality: The moss, mud, and Snow of his father washed clean by the rivers, waters, and salt, by the hill, stone, and storm, by the sand and flowers of Westeros.
Skills: Noteworthy Swordfighting Noteworthy Battle
Apprentice Brawling Apprentice Axe Throwing
Novice Persuasion Novice Scaling
Beginner Swimming Beginner Drinking Physical Description: In regards to size, stature, and features, Ser Dunnock is nigh a mirror image of his brother Olander: slender and small, and sharp of face. In every other manner, however, he is completely different. Where Olander appears aloof, Dunnock is vivacious; Olander reserved, Dunnock bawdy; Olander quiet, Dunnock boisterous; Olander moss eyed, Dunnock hazel; and most of all, where Olander has a head full and chin dusted with wiry brown hair, Dunnock has hair to match, in an infinitely more violent and fiery red. He wears an old but well maintained chainmail hauberk over rough spun brown and black linens, and an oversized iron half helm. Like any hedge knight worth his salt the Bloody Sparrow has a longsword at one hip, and throwing axes on the other. A heater shield is slung over his back, bearing his device: a fierce brown sparrow on black, its beak dripping red blood.
Personal History: Ser Dunnock was born between the licentious union of Lord Bennard Reed and a lovely Riverland inn keeper, who sadly died in childbirth. He was taken to Greywater Watch by his kindly father, who immediately took a liking to his bastard son, much to the displeasure of his lady wife. Dunnock quickly earned the nickname the Bloody Bastard, both from his fiery crimson hair, and the expression Lady Reed was so fond of using. Shortly thereafter, his younger, trueborn half-brother was born. Through thick times and thin, the pair behaved much in the way that brothers do. At the age of fifteen, the Lady Reed had her husband’s bastard son sent away.
In his travels south, Dunnock took up the company of a hedge knight, and served as squire for the bawdy swordsman. Serving under lord after lord south of The Neck, Dunnock was eventually knighted after a fearsome battle that often changes dates, locations, and foes with each retelling. For his device, Ser Dunnock recalled a tale his lord father had regaled him with: on the night he was conceived, his mother had sung a story about a brave sparrow fighting off a cruel, fearsome hawk. Taking the sparrow for his arms, he embellished the image by changing the mark of shame from his childhood, the Bloody Bastard, and making it his own: the Bloody Sparrow.

7) Character Personal History: Harren Blacktyde is a young man with enough ambition and the means to carry it out. Only recently declared the Lord of Blacktyde through a confusing chain of succession, Harren has come to the mainland to secure his place as the Reaper of the Tides.
With many hints of bitterness and anger, it is clear Harren is a man with a chip on his shoulder. Only the son of Boras Blacktyde's second salt wife, it was years before the young hellion convinced Lord Harlaw and the other Ironlords that Sariss Blacktyde (the original heir) was too much of a glutton to rule properly and Euron Blacktyde (the next in line) was too untrustworthy even by Lannister standards. After Euron lay the claims of a few maids and finally Harren ascended to control over the island.

6)Character Personal History: Born to a pretty serving girl at his towns only inn, Eaton was told by his mother that his father was a great knight. Eaton, due to the abandonment he felt as a child grew to resent knights and vowed to never conform to their standards. He came to convince himself that honor and service are crutches that a man uses to make himself feel elevated above the common populace. After his mother was beaten by a hedge knight Eaton snuck into his room and cut his throat with his dagger. Fleeing from his home he traveled to the Free Cities where he worked for a short time as a caravan guard. Realizing that life wasn't for him but that he enjoyed killing people who truly deserved it he began offering his skills as an assassin. Upon learning of his mother's death in a chance encounter in Lys, Eaton decided to return to Westeros and offer his skills to whomever may pay enough.
7) Character Physical Description: A non descript man Eaton blends into crowds well. Average height with chestnut brown hair and deep hazel eyes.
8) Character Reputation: For a person who despises knights and spits on thier vows Eaton is known for his somewhat skewed sense of honor. At times this makes for poor buisness but Eaton is willing to rob and steal from those he believes are subpar people. 9) Email: Joshua.a.moore@navy.mil

5) Character Skills (Choose 2 beginner skills, 2 novice skills, 2 apprentice skills, and 2 noteworthy skills and 1 expert skill):
Beginner: Brawling Beginner: Survival Skills Novice: Endurance Novice: Short Swords Apprentice: Interrogation Apprentice: Traps Noteworthy: Horsemanship Noteworthy: Intimidation Expert: Polearms
6) Character's Second (Choose 2 beginner skills, 2 novice skills, 2 apprentice skills, and 2 noteworthy skills):
Steffon Marbrand twin brother of Johan Marbrand, goes byname of The Burner
Beginner: Brawling Beginner: Chemistry (Fire) Novice: Endurance Novice: Short Swords Apprentice: Interrogation Apprentice: Intimidation Noteworthy: Horsemanship Noteworthy: Longsword
7) Character Personal History: From a young age Johan never had many friends and preferred the company of his twin brother Steffon as he never knew his mother well since she died some years after his birth. For fun he and his brother would often spar with eachother with only their fists and later with shortswords until finally he took up the polearm as he grew. As they spent more time together and got older they got into more and more mischief earning them the moniker of "The twin terrors". Their father was often away from the isolated castle, taking part in a tourney or supporting the Lannister cause and deep down Johan came to dislike his father for never being around. Thus he often sought attention not by performing good acts but by unleashing fiery rage fit for the Marbrand banner (a flaming tree). No one was safe from their cruel jokes and traps and often violent behaviour. After an incident where a stable was burned, which resulted in the death of several horses and their caretakers, the twins were forcefully seperated by order of their father Lord Addam Marbrand. Steffon was isolated in chambers, as it was he who was blamed for the fire. However, after the mysterious death of their father, Johan became Lord of Ashemark and subsequently released his brother from captivity. Johan would go on to intimidate those that crossed him, and bring more rigid structure to the lands around him. His dealings with minor crooks and outlaws armed with his polearm earned him the by name of "Long Arm" and it is whispered that his weapon is named "The Law". He oft times likes to go exploring the mountainous areas around Ashemark to gaze on the land before him, and treks through the valleys, and he is known amongst his people, although they do tend to stay out of his way. He has come to admire the lay of the land and favours the Tumblestone, which is deemed treacharous by many but through they eyes of Johan, it is quite beautiful as it cuts through the land like a spear. He may use justice as hard hard as the mountains around him and understands to get what he wants he may have to bend the rules.
8) Character Physical Description: Johan Marbrand is tall and slim, standing as rigid as his accustomed polearm. His hair, black, is cropped and much neater kept than most and it doesnt seem that his hair grows from his face giving him an eternally youthful look about him. His face is pale, slender and expressionless only showing emotion when he is interacting with his brother. Although of lanky disposition, he retains a deep inner strength developed by his treks around the land and is known to have an unnatural endurance, oft times he does not sleep for days on end contributing to his sleepy calm baby-faced appearance.
9) Character Reputation: Often thought of as out of control by his Lord father, Johan adheres to his own oft times cruel code. He is known for his harsh justice and expects his men and subjects to obey without question. Does not take kindly to hearing jests of him and his family. Known to be headstrong in his decisions and only seeks council of his brother. His subjects wonder why he never has shown and interest in women but trust in him to find a woman to tame him.

Name: Maester Julien
Age: 29
Nationality: Riverlands
Byname: None Skills: Beginner – Ride Beginner – Higher Mysteries Novice – Foreign Cultures (Free Cities) Novice – Ravenry Apprentice – Gathering Information/Contacts Apprentice – Stewardship Noteworthy – Healing/Poisons Noteworthy – Knife-fighting/throwing Expert – Counseling/Politics History Born to a camp follower and a man his mother referred to only as her “red-fish knight,” the closest thing Julien had to a home in his childhood was when his mother Lily caught the eye of the squire and son of Ser Allen Norcross, a household knight to Lord Florent of Brightwater. The young boy was four as near as he could calculate and Ser Allen ensured mother and son five years of comfort and sustenance. But the greatest kindness he showed to his guilty pleasure and her son was to teach precocious young Julien to read and write, instilling the confidence and ceaseless curiosity that those armed with learning can ever hope to attain and understand. The War of the Stag and Dragon brought the makeshift family to Horn Hill and the ensuing battle tore them apart. Her lover dead, Lily attached herself to any man that would have them, pimping her degenerating good looks and humor to a succession of men over the course of two years – an abusive sellsword was left for a married tanner, who was in turn abandoned for a kind-natured cooper, who gave them a second chance at permanence and home in Oldtown. Years of wear and tear proved too great for his mother’s delicate constitution, and without waiting to see if the cooper would keep him, Julien took to the backstreets of Oldtown, where he fell in with a group of toughs. At first his intelligence made him a target, but Julien’s ruthlessness gained the eleven year old some respect and he became the number two knave in their little band of thugs and thieves within the year and by the time he was fourteen, Julien was running his own street gang and gaining a reputation as a young man whose mind was as keen as his skills with a knife. He thought he was happy and had found his place in life until he fell in love with Mara, the daughter of a cloth merchant. With straw-colored hair, storm-blue eyes, and an easy laugh, she was enchanting. Her charms overwhelmed him and the two were proud parents at age fifteen. Times were happy but hard for the young parents, Julien was being hounded by the toughs he ‘betrayed’ and Mara and the babe, who had her coloration, was unwelcome at home. Only a complete change would keep the family safe and desperate to improve their lot in life, Julien in his rags and filth, snatched a book out of the hands of a Maester and over the scholar’s protests, began to read from it, impressing the Maester enough to help him enroll as a novice at the Citadel. During his years of study, Julien solicited help from members of the order, friends, and even resorted to crime when necessary, to keep his wife and son at an inn near the Citadel, where Mara worked as a waitress. Julien taught his son, Allen, everything that he learned and also let the boy practice with the tavern’s musicians at night. They were a happy family until Mara died from complications during childbirth at age 20. The absence of a mother made father and son extremely close and despite their grief over Mara’s passing, the years between then and Julien’s swearing in as a Maester where not unhappy. Julien is ready to be assigned to a house to serve as counselor and healer to a noble family of the Order’s choosing. He is bringing Allen with him, but has asked that the boy masquerade as his assistant and not divulge his paternity until necessary. The Citadel has respected his wishes, even if they do not necessarily understand the request.
Note: History will be updated once a House selection has been made. Description
Julien stands just shy of six feet in height and has a slender, graceful build. He keeps his chocolate brown hair cut short and his boyishly handsome face free from hair. The Maester is practiced at keeping a sagely and paternal smile on his lips. His eyes match his hair, and glitter brightly with intelligence, but show little else to the world. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Age: 14
Nationality: The Reach
Skills:
Beginner – Stewardship Beginner – Ride Novice – Ravenry Novice – Gather Information/Contacts Apprentice – Healing/Poisons Apprentice – Knife-fighting/throwing Noteworthy – Seduction/Charm Noteworthy – Music (Singing)
Basic Information
Allen is as cynical and self-conscious as only a teenager can be. He shares his father’s natural charm and caustic wit, but none of his appreciation for what life has provided for the family. The life of a Maester is not for him, and his true passion lies with music and women. His dream is to join a lord’s retinue and never have to work harder than he currently is another day in his life.
Description
Allen is tall and slender, with dark blonde hair and storm blue eyes. He has delicate facial features, a mellifluous voice, and sharply accentuating dimples.

Character Skills:
Expert: Ambushing Noteworthy: Bow, Scouting Apprentice: Riding, Stealth Novice: Sword, Wolf Training Beginner: Disguises, Poison Lore
Character Personal History: Unknown before he appeared in a village in the Kingswood several years ago. He has since spent his time doing all in his power to help the smallfolk in difficult times. He will often ambush nobles travelling through the Kingswood, take their coin, jewels, fine clothes and horses, but otherwise leave them unharmed, and then disappear. These things are then given to the smallfolk in greatest need of them.
He has built up quite a following amongst the common people, and many have joined his band of outlaws to help him in his efforts.

The arrows he carries are always fletched with feathers which have been dyed red.
Character Reputation: Depending on who you ask you will hear very different opinions of Greycowl. Lawmen will call him a thief, smallfolk a hero, cynics name him a fool, nobles fear him, young maidens describe him as dashing, but all agree that he is skilled with a bow and at moving through the trees unseen.
Those who know him describe him as reticent, his voice heavy with remorse. By his speech they judge him nobly born.

Character Name: Gawyn Tarth
Character Age:16
Character Nationality: The Reach
Character Skills: Beginner: Drinking Beginner: Disguise Novice: Leadership Novice: Tracking Apprentice: Stealth Apprentice: Horseriding Noteworthy: Dual Swords Noteworthy: Archery
Character Personal History: Gawyn was born the third son of the Lord of Tarth(leaving balnk in case anyone else wants to create him). He was neither as gallant nor as comely as his other siblings, and as a result he dedicated himself in the training yard, hoping to win the favor of his father. His efforts were in vain, and the Lord of Evenfall lavished all his attention on his other children, ignoring Gawyns sharp mind and even sharper reflexes. While his brothers were taken on as squires to renowned knights, Gawyns training was given over to an old Braavosi who stayed at Tarth because of an unknown service he once did the Lord of Evenfall. Old age had robbed the man of his skills as a water dancer, but he still managed to pass on most of his knowledge of the type of swordplay named water dancing, recognizing the young boy's potential. The old man grew to love Gawyn as the son he had left behind, and on his death, Gawyn left the Sapphire Isle, hoping to go North to the capital, and make his name there.
Character Physical Description: Gawyn, though not as comely as his siblings, is not ugly to look upon either. He is just below average height, with dark hair and green eyes.
Character Reputation: Gawyn was known on Tarth for his temper, the product of his frustrations with his family. His father thinks him childish and impertinent, though Gawyn strives to win his favor nonetheless. Utterly unknown outside Tarth, though he hopes to win a name for himself due to his skill with a bow and the thin, twin swords he carries strapped across his back.
