7) Character Personal History: Axell Lannister, or so he claims, is the grandson of Zachary Lannister (an unimportant branch family member). Although he has never been officially recognised as anything other than a lowborn character who may or may not be the bastard of some westerland knight, Axell continues to use the name Lannister wherever he goes.
As a child he was abandoned in the stews of lannisport, yet he somehow adapted to the new surroundings. Driven by an insane conviction that he was highborn, and better than all others, 'Axell' moved from strength to strength inside the city, developing an uncanny ability to make money. As his wealth and grip over businesses in the slum section of Lannisport grew, so did his fame. People began to refer to him as 'The red-eyed merchant-lord' (or for short, red-eye), not only for his badly infected and discoloured left eye but also for the eerie way he controlled his rivals.
Axell has also dabbled in 'alchemy', fascinated by maesters and their techniques. He considers himself a 'scholar', and a 'philosopher'.
After more than twenty years of exploitation (he secretly used street urchins as effectively slaves in some of his businesses, had half the nobles owing him money, and ground his rivals into dust) Axell has had enough of Lannisport. Headed to Kings Landing, Axell would say publically that he merely wants to make money and help Kings Landing grow, when in reality, what he wants is recognition. He seeks power over the highborn, not only the lowborn.
8) Character Physical Description: Ugly. Axell is covered in dirty, black, bristly hair (a source of great discomfort for him, since he considers himself a Lannister) which grows faster than he can cut. His eyebrows, beard, sidewhiskers and hair all give him the appearance of some great ape. He is a large man, his back slightly crooked, with his left eye permanently red and twitching.
He generally dresses all in black, robed, like some sort of wizard or maester.
9) Character Reputation: He is fairly unknown in most highborn circles, with only those who have dealt with him directly having any real information. Most would simply think of him as some successful merchant. He is wellknown amongst commoners, particularly in Lannisport and throughout the westerlands.
10) He has a variety of underlings and employees of different talents.
