"What if he doesnt Anni? I have kept so much from him because I know that if I said anything it would break him! Like why his brother did what he did. I havent said a word to anyone but Joanna because I knew that it would tarnish his memories of Lord Oscar. And the way that he was when Oscar died even effected me."

'Mari, he is a better man than that, you will be fine, shall i speak with him for you?'

"Whats the point, he wont listen." Mari said, she extended her arms and hit the table, knocking a glass over.

The glass smashed on the floor, sending shards tinking over.

"It is amazing how much you rely on your sight Anni. And you don't know that until its gone, and everything that you loved gone with it."

'Everything you love is still here my dear, just you have to listen for it or feel for it rather than see it,' Anni said guiding her into a chair

Marianne let herself be guided and sat heavily. "Then why does it feel like I am being punished for something that I never asked for by my husband, the one man that is supposed to love me no matter what."

'He is angry mari, not at you, at who did this to you and as i said earlier most likely himself for not being here to stop it.'

"And so am I Anni! I hate the man with all my heart but that wont help. That wont make me see again!"

'Men deal with it in a different way to women, problems i hav had with Maekar in the past, which there have been plenty, have shown me this, they have to do something stupid to come to terms with it, they always come around,'

"And if he doesnt? Where does that leave me? What if he decides that I am too much of a risk to have near the children when I cant see what I am doing! What if he does get hurt? What would happen then?"

'You are not too much of a risk, it will take time, but you will become accustomed to being blind Mari, i am sure I can be of a help to you.'
