Milo raised an eyebrow, "And that was the only time you have spoken with Daeron?"

"There was one other time, three years ago after the Trial of Seven event."

Milo nodded, "And in either of the talks did the King's dragons come up?" He smiled knowingly.

Jon has to think back to the conversations between himself and the prince, "No there was no mention of the dragons what so ever."

"When Daeron started complaining about the King's marriage did it make you uncomfortable?" Milo asked.

"Master Bettley, the last talk I had with the Prince consisted of him spitting on me, having him in my quarters made me uncomfortable, did the topic of the kings marriage make me more so then the thought that he would lunge at me with a dagger to avenge his fallen friend, no not really."

Milo raised an eyebrow, "If Daeron did not complain to you of the King's marriage you would be the first. Every single other man or woman who spoke to him recently mentioned that he was unhappy with the current situation." Bettley plucked a plum from his bag and bit into it. With his mouth full he asked, "So do you feel you owe him for killing his friend?"

"I feel that I owe him something, what that something is I do not know, it is hard to put a price on a close heads friend."

"Do you think it is odd that Daeron decided not to complain to you about the King? When he did to just about everyone else." Milo replied thoughtfully, "Well we will need you to testify before the Court about the matter. Some of my men shall accompany you every where you go outside your quarters to provide you with security until after the trial." Milo waved and four scarred, and dangerous men walked over to Redfort.

Jon looks at the men coming towards him and shakes his head. "Very well Master Bettley, I am not happy about testifying, I would hate to get lower in the mind of Prince Daeron, but I see that there will be no other way for me to escape these accusations."

Milo bit into his plum, and waved Redfort away.

One of the gaolers, who has been notified that Martell would be coming, assigns him a comfortable cell with a bed of padded straw, and two fresh water buckets, and a lamp. He does not bother to lock the door.

"Thank you, my good man. I promise I will not be a trouble while I am here." Trystane said before he sat down with his back against the wall and looked at his new living arrangement.
