Milo Bettley stood atop of them with several of his own guards. He is eating stew from a wooden bowl.

Steffon comes up the battlements, tailed by two of his knights as well as Ser Demp Rivers. All four wore riding leathers and cloaks, and if one looked down into the bailey near the south gate, they could see the rest of Steffon's knights waiting for Marianne with the horses.
"Is this the temporary office Lord Conwell has granted you use of during His Grace's stay at the Rock," he asked Milo when arriving.

Milo laughed darkly, "Fuck Conwell and all Lannisters. I go everywhere the King's writ holds sway."

Steffon suppressed a roll of his eyes. "Lord Bettley, I am in something of a hurry for I wish to be on the road before nightfall. It is a long road home, after all. Why have you summoned me here?"

"The King wants you to stay longer." Milo replied.

"Why? I have duties to perform, Lord Bettley, on which I would place more importance than participating in tourneys and attending feasts," he said neutrally."

"Because Lord Steffon you are a large fool." Milo waved, and two of his guards begin to walk a man over, the man has a sack over his head.

"I have been hearing that for years, Lord Bettley, what is different now?" he asked.

Milo smiled, "Because this time you were a fool plotting against the King. Being a fool is your choice of course, it is not until you have foolish notions about the King that I must step in."
The man in the hood is walked straight up beside Milo, but not unhooded.

"Plotted what, exactly? He is my brother, for fuck's sake. You think I am going to raise a rebellion against him? Even I am not that foolish, we all learned about the Field of Fire in our lessons," he said.

Milo raised his hand to the sack over the man's head. "Do you know who I have under here? You might not know his name, but you will recognize what he is.... a witness."

"And this man witnessed me plotting against the King, did he?" Steffon said.

Milo nodded, "Do you doubt my words?"

"Of course I do. Lies and work in the shadows are your job, Lord Bettley, I would never take your word at face value."
