Aerion shrugged, "Orders are orders. I don't make them. Daemon didn't want Morgan causing a scene at the wedding." "I realize that, but you don't have to hit her. She's had enough as it is without you..ugh. I suppose you'd have no qualms about hitting me either, and if you want me to be scared of you then you're getting closer to your goal."

Aerion shook his head as if he considered this conclusion rather preposterous, "I don't think Daemon would ever order you hit. I can't see why he would."

She nodded. "And they can be explosive in my family."

"Just because you can't see doesn't mean he wouldn't order it. But I got my answer regardless." She stared at him like he said the wrong thing entirely.

Aerion shrugged, "Well you are a lady, not a knight. You don't understand anything about orders, or what happens when they aren't followed."

"I know, you'd be killed. But I know that the King isn't there when you're watching the Queen. So you don't have to hit her. I suppose only ladies have feelings?"

"If it makes you feel better, I didn't like it either."

"Well you don't have to do it if you don't like it. I could understand if you were making a show of it in front of the King. I know you feel anger, I've seen that before, so I know you can feel compassion even if it's buried somewhere underneath that steel chest of yours. What does the king think of you?"

"He thinks I do my job," Aerion growled, "I've nothing more to say on it, change the subject, or I'll go back to my quarters."

Arya sat down on the bench, "What do you want to talk about?"

"You brought me here, I presume to meow at me about this Queen business, "Aerion said.

"That was only part of it, I had hoped that we could talk about other things as well. I did want to talk about jousting but you didn't seem happy about it either. I did end up giving my favour out again to a knight and he managed to kill his opponent, so that is 2 people I've inspired someone else to kill, along with the two I've slain with my own hand."

"That's an excellent track record. I shall definitely seek your favor if I joust Ball," Aerion said, followed by a bark of laughter, "excellent record."

She smiled happily again, her mood slightly forgotten. "It's too bad that I have not found who is responsible for tha attempts on my life and the death of my father, but it is slightly heartening to be back at court, even if I am a bit nervous. I apologize if I was crabby towards you, it was the opposite of my intentions. Do you still take up your free time with training or have you found another diversion?"

"Training. You cannot be too ready," Varner said. "We Kingsguard are not left much down time."
