Maekar left his wife standing for a moment and returned to Daeron with a purposeful stride.

"Control yourself, brother," he said, in a hushed quick voice, "you may think I tell you these things to hurt you, but I would warn no other fool like I warn you. You are doing yourself harm. And do not speak about how I treat my family again," he said, and glanced at Calla for a moment before looking back at Daeron.
