Aalina gave him a strange look. "You will do in time, just keep looking."

[Jherek Doryn]

Jherek turned to Aalina, and -seeing her incredulous glare- cocked an eyebrow at her.
"May I ask what the stare of doom is for?"

[Viea Greyjoy]

"Nothing. Doesnt matter." She said, shaking her head then smiling.

[Jherek Doryn]

"Aalina, if there is something that I have learned the hard way -and those things number in the hundreds, mind you- it's that when a woman gives me the stare of doom, as you just did, it's usually because of something I said."

[Viea Greyjoy]

"No, its not. Its just complicated thats all. I wish sometimes I was free to make that choice to chose someone I liked and be happy instead of following the Seven all my life."

[Jherek Doryn]

"It makes no sense, though. To be unable to love is to contradict everything that the Mother and the Maiden teach us. To love is to receive the greatest gift from another person, and to have a child is to receive the greatest gift from the gods themselves."

[Viea Greyjoy]

"Maybe you should have been at the Sept. I would have enjoyed you telling them there that."

[Jherek Doryn]

"You still can. Nothing is impossible not even for a sister to fall in love."
He grins as he imagines Aalina standing in the Sept, yelling at the heads of the church, nearly bringing the walls down with her fury.

[Viea Greyjoy]

She gave a half smile.

"Aye, but this is what happens when you are a traitors daughter. All free will is stripped from you."

[Jherek Doryn]

Jherek stops for a moment, then rushes to keep up with Aalina.
"Wait... you're THAT Aalina? Aalina Greyjoy?"

[Viea Greyjoy]

"That famous am I?" She asked wryly. "I wasnt aware that I was known outside of Runestone."

[Jherek Doryn]

"You know stories from every land when you're a traveling bard. I have heard tell of the crimes of your father, and how you had to pay for them even after he was dead."
He grabs her by the shoulder, pulling her to a dead stop.
"You do not deserve this. You should not have to pay for his mistakes."

[Viea Greyjoy]

Aalina chuckled dryly.

"So youve even gone to the Islands then. A very brave bard you are. But that is the way that the world works. Maybe they thought that if I had children then I would teach them the ways of my parents Gods."

[Jherek Doryn]

"Then perhaps you could show them some sign of your devoutness, and request that you could marry. I have heard stories of Septa being married, but those were written almost thirty years ago..."
Jherek trails off and thinks. How could he make her happy?

"Jherek, I have never been ovelly devout. I think it was because I resented the way that I did this. If I was suddenlt to become a model Septa I think that they would worry, and maybe others would be allowed to marry, but I would never be."
