Mors again pulls Nerrick aside.
"I want our best men tailing him, now. Make sure he follows through. And he's to be taken back into custody, until the job is done."

"All right, Feldt." Mors says, pulling the keys to his shackles out of a pocket. He unlocks them as he speaks. "Go, make the drop-off. And then it will be much simpler if you return here. Your accommodations will be much better, this time, and you will be released when we ascertain that you have not done us wrong. Fair?"

Mors arrives at the Black Hills farm in the morning before they're supposed to head off the assassins. Nerrick, and as many men as he could possibly muster, are to be hidden outside the farmhouse. Several men wait in the attic, or cellar, or whatever the fuck they've got as a decent hiding place.

"Well," Mors says, meeting with Nerrick after a long day's rest, "That trail has been fucked, it would seem. On to the other suspects. Ser Deckland Hill and Symon of Lannis, what do we know about them?"

Mors reads the letter from home with pure disbelief, soon turning to rage.
"I'll see these sons of bitches dead if it's the last thing I do." He mutters, before finding Nerrick. "I need to take a couple weeks, go to the Stormlands for my mother's funeral. Arrest Ser Deckland Hill and Symon of Lannis, and have them questioned. All right?"
