There are perhaps two hundred men in black mail and spears standing before the camp. At their head is the now one armed sergeant who Kenneth fought earlier.
"I'd like a word with you ser." the sergeant says soft but sternly.

"Speak your piece, Seargeant?" Kenneth says rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"Me and some of the men are interested in what you had to say," he says, cradling his left arm in his right.

"Well Seargent you and your men are welcome but what does Captain Mord say about it? Am I going to have to sleep with one eye open while were in camp together?"

"Probably. But here's the thing. You're gonna have to take back what you said 'bout us. And the Lord Captain Talyn. That woadn't right nor fair," the man says. "You is right about Captain Mord, he says he interested in dying for a cause, and all, but he's as forgotten its supposed to be an honorable cause, and that business with attacking you won't right neither."

Kenneth considers the matter, "I admit it was a bit harsh what I said to Captain Mord, although he really pissed me off, Lord Thatcher had good intentions even if his methods were extreme. I should not have passed judgement on the whole lot of you without having seen with my own eyes what was alledged to have happened and for that I apologize."

"We don't consider them extreme ser," the sergeant replied, "Twenty years of peace, realm ain't never seen the like of it before." The sergeant turned around, and the men seemed to speak briefly amongst themselves.
"Aight, we'll sign on."

Kenneth grunted his approval, "whats your name Sergeant?" Kenneth asked as he got the Company's ledger to pay the new Chicken's their bonus.

"Red Rivers ay?" Kenneth says carefully. "I need someone to take charge of the infantry, as the largest lot is your men and your speaking for them would you want the job, pays another 4 Dragons but you'll have your work cut out for you getting the others to hold their lines the same as you."

"No ser, can't do that. Live the same, fight the same ser, that's the rule. I can do the job, but I can't take more money," Brandon says.

"I admire that Sergeant," Kenneth said halfway surprised. "In that case take a look at the other men and see if you need anything from the company fund to bring the others up to speed."

He snorted, "I think its the otherway around ser. Saw some of your people as we came in... Either they stole their greatgrandfather's armor, or no one is riding their asses up keeping it up to snuff."

"I meant them Seargent, when I said 'others' I was referring to your new compatriots," Kenneth said shaking his head, man these traitor son's are a touchy sort.
"Codswallow is our Smithy and can do a pretty fine job, maybe the boys could scrounge around for some loose steel and armor from the battle yesterday and Old Codswallow can fit it for each man that is deficient. If you need coin to rent a Smith out and materials then the Company would fund it."
Codswallow only nods, "I'll look into it," was all he said.

Sergeant Brandon nodded firmly, "As you say ser, we'll see it done."
