"I figured that you were already taken, Lady Nialla. Such a beauty as yourself couldn't be without a dozen suitors already. He must be a lucky man indeed to have catched your fancy." he said with a big smile. "So who is this man that has swept you off your feet? May I have heard of him around town?"
He looked at Nialla's two companions.
"How about Lady Eustaya and Murcilla then, has someone taken fancy of you as well?

"His name is Jurok," Nialla says, with a wide smile just thinking about him.
"Eustaya doesn't have anyone, and Murcilla is married, but her husband is captain in the navy, and is often away."

"I think I have heard his name mentioned among the patrons I have played for." Lysaer said with a smile.
"What is it about him that takes your fancy? I have not been graced so far to gain the eye from a lady so beautiful as yourself, and maybe if you give me some advice I might be as lucky as your bethroted one day?"

"He's funny.. and kind, and always sweet to me," Nialla says, "and he's very brave."

"Brave? In what way, Lady Nialla?"

Nialla blushed, "he saved me. I was walking along the canal, when some blackguards accosted me, and then Jurok came and chased them off."

"That must have been awful for you, Lady Nialla. It sounds like you were very lucky to have Jurok happen to walk by when he did." Lysaer smiled, wondering if it had really been a coincidence or if Jurkok had planned it that way, since he had heard more bad things about the man than he heard good.
He needed to learn more about Jurok, and from what he had heard the females talk about earlier, he didn't have much time. He bows with a smile.
"No, I think it's time for me to depart. I need to prepare my performance for later tonight, and as much as I would love standing here talking to you lovely ladies.." he said and looked at Nialla as he spoke. "business must come first sometimes. I hope that you all have a lovely day, and may the gods watch over you and protect you." he added and gave them a small bow.

Nialla smiled, "thank you bard, I appreciate the good wishes. Good luck in your next performance."

Lysaer stood close to one of the fountains in the rose market, playing his lute and singing a few commons songs that most the people there would know.
He had come here in hopes to see the Lady Nialla. He had not spoken to her after getting Jurok killed, and he wanted to know how she was faring. There was also something about her that he could not forget.

He waits for a long time, but never sees Nialla. He is about to give up, when he does see someone he recognizes. Dargo Montaryon, the Bravo who scarred him, strutting down the street, and speaking with various merchants, apparently in a good mood.

Lysaer finished playing the tune, before he picked the two copper coins that had been thrown inside his cap on the ground, and placed them in his purse.
He gathered his things, and hanged the lute across his shoulder and made his way toward the bravo.
"Good Evening, my good ser. Do you remember me? I see you are having a good day." Lysaer said as he came close enough.

The man looked at Lysaer with disguist, as if the bard was something he'd just stepped in.
"You... what do you want?"

Lysaer looked at Dargo and gave him a simple smile.
"I saw you, and since I have begun writing a small tune in your honor, I thought I would come over and hear with your latest escapades, as well as I would like to ask you a question."

"I don't have time for this..." Dargo said, "make it quick."

"I know that it's a lot to ask, but that day when you spared my life, I understood that I have not trained as much with the blade as I should have, so I have been looking for you to ask you if I were able to be trained by you, becoming your student."
