Kenneth is surprised, "yes, from outside Honeyholt, you hail from the Reach also?"

"No, I just recognized your sword style. It has something of the famous Charles Graceford to it, and hints of Tristan Risley I think," the man says with a shy smile.

Kenneth thinks about this for a second, he hadn't heard of either of those people before. "I don't know about that," Kenneth says finally.
"My older brother taught me the basics and I adapted most of what I learned from watching the different sword styles I've seen from fighting with the men of the Free Cities. My father fought with Lord Tomas Florent though, would probably have taught my brother the same way," he scratched his head.
"You know a lot about sword fighting Ser Marq, you sound like my Maester brother 'cept he only knows things about plants and stuff."

Marq smiled slightly, "Well, I'm afraid I'm ignorant of plants, and such as that. But I figure if one is selling one's sword, then you ought to know as much about it as possible. You see, to some degree, each region has a slightly different fighting style. If you've a keen eye, you can see the differences, that's all."

Kenneth nodded, "you said your a sell sword? What company are you with?"

The man frowned, "I do not have a company at present. That is why I came to Pentos." He pulled on his beard, "I'm rather better at the sword then the sales part," He added sheepishly.

"Well if you want a place in my Company, the Bloody Chickens, you can have it," Kenneth says. "Could always use another Westeros Knight, Ser Marq, especially one with your skill."

Marq rubbed the back of his neck, "what did you have in mind, in terms of pay...?" He asked.

"Well normal pay is 2 Dragons a contract year, but with your skill if your willing to take the time to train the rest of the men I'll add another 8 on top of it," Kenneth says.
"I know your probably accustomed to more but maybe you can cut me a discount on account of saving your life," Kenneth suggests, "and not asking a lot of questions."

"10 dragons is good," the man nods.

"I will have to warn you that there are some Son's of Death in my service as well. . . though they are better sorts then those," Kenneth said pointing to the corpses.
"Not sure what your beef was with them, and frankly don't care but if you need a word with them to smooth something over you can talk to Brandon Redrivers, he's a reasonable sort," Kenneth concludes.

The man nodded, "I don't think it will be a problem. These men mistook me for someone else, I've not conflict with them."

"Fair enough, I think I am going to see if I can find a healer around here. Have him take a look at this if you care to hang around." Kenneth says.

"Sure, or I can meet you back at your camp, if you'll point the way."

"Were camped by the west wall, just inside the gate, ask for the Bloody Chickens and pretty much any sell sword should be able to point the way," Kenneth says waving goodbye.
When Ser Marq is on his way he moves to see if he can find a healer.
