Quentyn places a few coins on the captain's table. "Then there is no time for me to waste. Thank you, Captain."
Quentyn leaves the cabin and the ship, but doubles back as soon as he is out of sight. He finds an inauspicious corner where he can watch the ship without being seen, and waits to see if the Captain either leaves himself or sends out a messenger.

Quentyn settles back to wait. If still no one leaves after several hours, he abandons the stakeout and ventures into the city proper.
