"It woudl not be a joke to me," she said.
She thought for a moment but had no counter offer to make. The truth was, she had little that belonged to her in her own right. Then she thought of something.
"Do you know the legend of the old Queen of the Rock, whose husband meant to slaughter all the prisoners he captured in battle against the Reach? The queen was beautiful so her king said he'd spare their lives if the queen rode naked through the streets of Lannisport? Would you accept me riding naked through the streets of Kings Landing, instead of attending a ball thus? You would be of my party, of course."

Daemon shook his head, and eyed the attendants nearby, "That is acceptable to me as well. But I do not think I need be there. It would be be amusing though." He laughed.

"Then that is my stake," Joanna said. "But what if I win? It's all very well you saying you will give me a dragon? What if the dragon doesn't want to be given to me?"

Daemon laughed, "I will train you, and whichever of my babies you choose to be yours. They will obey me in every way."

"Alright. It's agreed. You will play fair, though, won't you? After all, you already have an advantage over me in the race since yuo know the dragons much better than I."

Daemon laughed, "If you want I will even give you a head start?"

Daemon nodded, "I will take Dracarys." The lean bronze beast roared when he heard his name called.

"Excellent. Are we ready to go then?"
Joanna was practically hopping from foot to foot in her excitement. She stroked a hand down Valyria's neck and felt a surge of love for the great beast.
"Let's show these men how it's done," she whispered.

Daemon walked over to his beast, and mounted, "Go ahead Jo. I will be right after you."

Joanan climbed onto Valyria's back, stroked the dragon and whispered encouraging words then the dragon broke into a run and took flight.

When the flight ended, Joanna was reluctant to climb down. She hugged Valyria and whispered words of comfort and reassurance in case the dragon hated to lose as much as she did.
"Well done," she called to Daemon, but her voice was shaky.

Daemon was already stalking toward a bind full of chucks of flesh. He motioned for Joanna to join him. Then he reached in and pulled out a leg of lamb. He walked over, and threw it in front of Dracarys, and bent low whispering into his ear.

Joanna sighed.
"Must I really get down so soon?"

Daemon laughed, and then fetched another piece of meat, and feed Valyria, "They are gluttonous lizards, and love the man or woman who feed them."
