Halls of the Red Keep

She looked at him frowning, had she said that out loud? 'How do you mean?'

"In the Red Keep? Which places holds the most beauty for you." Aidan asked, "For me it is the walls, they hold a look of beauty and have a strength of purpose."

She thought for a moment. 'The gardens for me, they are full of such pretty colours.'

Aidan nodded, "They are a close second to me. When you walk in them, the sights, the smells, the feel just takes you away from the reek of the city."

'Yes it is a pleasent change from most of the places. Is reminds me of when i was a child.'

"AS a child did you have gardens like there? Or were you raised in the wilderness?" Aidan asked.

'We had gardens.' She smiled. 'I use to like to hide from my parents.' She smiled at the memories

"Whatever for?" Aidan asked.

[Helyn Caron]

'because it use to annoy them, and at that age i did not wish to go to bed when they wanted me to.' her smile widened.

"At that age? So now you go to bed when your parents request it." Aidan smiled slightly.

She giggled. 'I still go to bed when i wish.'

Aidan nodded, "Well if you need bed rest do not let me intercede." He bowed his head.

'I am perfectly awake right now, my son sleeps through the night so i get plenty of sleep during that time.'

Aidan smiled, "Good, I would not want you to fall into slumber amid our conversation. You are a pleasant diversion from my duties."

'I am glad i can divert you.' She smiled. 'It is a pleasent change to have someone new to converse with.'
