As Arya approaches the book, she is startled by a sudden movement behind the desk, as a man who was crouching behind the desk rises to his full height, and fires a crossbow at her.
There is a clattering behind Maryn as four men rush in from behind. They are wearing padded cloth armor, and carrying heavy cudgels.
(Arya, make me a battle thread. Each of the Thugs is Apprentice with their respective weapons.)

Arya is crying audibly and Maryn offers a hand to help her up, "What the fuck is going on man!?" He shouts to the man he remembered as the champion, Ser Aiden or something like that.

"It would seem that someone wants you, or your dear lady dead," He says, as if that was rather obvious. "I saw you two riding through the market, and I wanted to apologize to the lady for a rather abrupt tone I took the other day. That was when I saw this band of rough looking men following you through the crowd. I thought there might be trouble, and attempted to follow as well, but you outpaced me. I was able to find you from the sounds of battle though."

"Thank you, thank you" Maryn says for both him and Arya, who seemed to be inconsolable at the moment.
Her sight was teary and red and her hands felt sticky. She wiped them on her coat and they still felt sticky.
"Well the only place I think would be safe for lady Aryanna is with her father." Maryn's blood was rushing through him and he did not feel the pain of any of his wounds, though he knew he must have a miscellany of cuts and bruises, possibly broken bones. "We should get to Ser Euric's manse as quickly as possible. Lady Aryana looks injured."

Aidan nodded at the Dornish knight, than approached the woman and took her head in his hands, "Look at me," he commanded her, gazing upon her.
"Your nose is broken, and your eye is swollen shut. That will go away, in time, but the nose needs to be reset, or else it will mar a very lovely profile. Ready?"

"It hurts," she said and slowly took in his words, "Yes, do it." Ary sobbed out.
Maryn peaked through the door to see if anyone else was drawn to the commotion.

Aidan took Arya's nose firmly in his fingers, pressed the side of his hand, against it, and pushed. Arya heard a loud crack, and felt even more pain.
"Good as new," Aidan said caressing her cheek momentarily with the back of his hand, "Time to go, Ser Maryn, lead the way."

Ary continued her sobs but felt comforted by Adien's caress. She reached out for his hand and held it.
Maryn nodded lead the party to where they had tied their horses off. He saw Ary holding on to Ser Aiden for dear life, and since her mare was much smaller and would likely get tired bearing the weight of two of them he offered a trade, "It's best if you and the lady ride on my horse, I will ride on hers. Once we arrive at Ser Eurics Ser Aiden, if you know anyone we can trust, send for them, m'lady must know something that warrants her attack."

Aidan gave Maryn a look as if he considered that rather doubtful, but said nothing. When they arrived at Euric's Manse. "I'm headed back to the Red Keep. Is there anyone you'd like me to notify?" the Champion Knight asked.

Arya had recovered somewhat on the ride to her father's manse. "Keep an eye on Aerie for me if you can, it was her chambermaid that told me to go to that place." She noticed the blood all over and she was pale. "Inform Lady Becca as well. Maybe Ser Aerion, he was with me when the chambermaid told me, but I don't think he'd want me dead.. I'm not sure. Thank you Ser Aiden...Please watch yourself."
Maryn nodded his head, "Gods bless you Ser."

Some days later, Princess Joanna and her Sworn sword, Ser Lucas Templeton, rode out the gates of the Red Keep. They were followed by the king and various guards and members of the Royal household. Joanna was clothed in a long, flowing dress and her hair was loose down her back.
"You shouldn't do this my lady," Ser Lucas whispered urgently to her.
She looked regretfully at him.
"I wish I didn't have to, but I must keep my word."
"It was a fool's wager," Lucas said.
"It was a risk I was prepared to take," Joanna answered.
She looked at the King behind them.
"Are we ready, Daemon?"
Her voice shook more than she liked.

Daemon laughed, and nodded, "We are ready."

Joanna swallowed and got down from her horse. She instinctively used the animal's body to shield her own as she stripped off her dress, boots and smallclothes. Lucas, his back to her, guarded her other side. Her hands trembled but she got the clothes off and handed them to her sworn sword. She felt cold and uncomfortable with her nakedness. Lucas looked at her with desire and sympathy as she flicked her hair forward to cover her breasts. It was unlikely that her hair would continue to conceal her throughout the ride but it seemed foolish not to try.
"Back down," he whispered. "The king will forgive you."
"I can't," Joanna sighed. "The king will lose all respect for me if I turn craven now. Help me up, Lucas."
The knight nodded and helped her mount. Joanna shivered and looked at the king. Her cheeks were pink with embarrassment.
"Let's go."

Daemon nodded at her, and then began to ride through the streets slowly.
