"Unfortunately I am confused, Ser. I can think of no reason why someone would want to have your young daughter killed. She does not seem the type to garner enemies."

Euric nodded. "Neither do I, Maekar." He scratched his head. "The only thing that would make sense if she knew something, or heard something she was not supposed to, but she made no indication that she did."

Arya walks into the room slowly, she felt a slight headache and it was uncomfortable to walk. "Father? Prince Maeker?"

"Lady Aryanna, I have some questions for you concerning your attack," he said.
He turned to Euric, "would you allow us to speak in private? Often there are things a daughter will not say in front of her father."

"That is what I came to ask. Have you indeed told Maryn everything? There is something still missing from this, Aryanna. Why would someone want to hurt you?"

"I've been mostly tending to Aerie since Lord Talyn's murder. Other than that I've conversed with Ser Aerion briefly, the King, the Queen, princess Joanna, and Ser Aiden Sand, and a healer woman that has agreed to help the Maester with Aerie's recovery. I don't know why someone would want to kill me." She shook her head slowly and held the side of her temple.

"There is only one thing, and that was done in the privacy of my own room." She answered after long thought.

Maekar sat back in the chair.
"You may find the Red Keep to have less privacy than you believe."

"That may be the case, one can never be sure in the castle."
"Who was it that you were with?"

"The King brought me a gift for my 16th nameday." She felt her throat and she remembered it was at her room in the Red Keep. "A necklace."
