Quentyn smiles. "He seems to have done adequately enough. Creativity cannot be everyone's strong suit." Quentyn withdraws a roll of parchment from one sleeve. It is sealed tightly with red wax. This he presses into the king's hand.
"I did not wish to burden your schedule with an unnecessary meeting, Your Grace. The matter you asked me to look into has been concluded satisfactorily."

"You tease! Besides, a man should have heart to approach me in what way he can. A knight recently slipped a poem underneath my door, and I thought it sweet of him." She touched the side of her mouth with a finger, "It's not proper to go from man to man. Lord Bettley's talents would surely be wasted but it would be amusing for how absurd it is."

The King nodded, and slipped the parchment into a pocket, "But does it look like he put an effort in at all. I mean the music is not even particularly Andal music. Just feast music. Most disappointing." Daemon sipped his wine, "And did everything fare as expected?"

Connor nods, seeing the sense in it. "Well let them challenge then. I will step aside if they prove my better, but let the pride of the Riverlands rest on my shoulders." Banefort leaned forward and clapped him on the shoulders, "Good lad. I wish the fire had not taken my inn. King's Landing seems to be burn with regularity though. I am still waiting for them to rebuild my manse again from the last time it burnt down." He sighed. "It seems Kings Landing draws the fire, but then it is the home of the Targaryens so perhaps it is rightfully so. Fire may have ruined the city, but it has risen up a better place I think. I have thought about having work begun on my own manse," Connor says.

Morgan nodded, "A man should be a man. I agree with that. Which knight? And how dreadful was the poem?" She turned to study Arya closely, "Truly dreadful wasn't it?"

"It wasn't that bad, I admire the attempt. That man over there, Ser Maryn Drinkwater." Maryn was sipping from a cup watching the musicians. "He's such a minor knight, his heart means well though. Wouldn't you have liked something written for you, no matter hwo dreadful it was?" She giggled.

"Perhaps Lord Grafton is wittier than you imagine, Your Grace. Andal culture is the culture of all the Seven Kingdoms, now, with Lord Manderly spreading the Faith to the North and the the septons doing the same to the Iron Islands. Perhaps he is merely making a comment to that effect by providing an... ordinary party to celebrate our ordinary people." Quentyn's smile becomes a hair broader, and it is obvious that he does not believe anything he has just said. Without missing a beat, Quentyn continues, "There were no problems. Things went smoothly."

I mean he is not going to spoke of through out the ages, but he is quite good. Two he showed me that were not for me, made me cry. They were sad, and about his loneliness surrounded by all these people who do not see him, but merely a crown." She wiped at her eye, "I swore to never reveal that to any though, so please keep it a secret."

The King stroked his chin in thought. "You are very good." He added, and studied his cousin.

"I will not speak of it with any save you my queen." She said in a similar low voice and her heart was warm with her queen's revelation. "I did not know, it makes me see my king in a whole new way now. You are lucky to be wed to such a great man." Arya swooned and wished at that moment she could be the queen. "It is so romantic."

Morgan found the king with her eyes and smiled warmly, "He is... and strong too. He just lifts me up sometimes and carries me..." She looked at Arya her cheeks reddening, "Perhaps we will have that talk later. When you understand men a little better."

Prince Daeron Targaryen arrived, dressed all in black with a a small violet brooch of a thread headed dragon above his heart. He grinned at seeing his sisters choice of dress before making his way to find something to drink.

"That is sound advice, though more expensive no doubt. But the more you pay the better quality the work will be I suppose." Connor looks around, "And perhaps I will stay in Kings Landing to oversee the works, it is a pleasant change of scenery."

She looked at Arya her cheeks reddening, "Perhaps we will have that talk later. When you understand men a little better." Her face reddened too, "Ah..I can understand that they want us. And I know of bedding..from what Becca says." She wondered if it was true that men turned to animals when they were alone with a woman in bed. "But yes, we shouldn't talk of that now. Perhaps there will be a dance." She said, shifting the topic somewhat.
