"Kyma is well," Talyn replied , "She was just remarking to me the other day what a great keep the Crossing is. Which reminded me that I do owe her a name-day gift." His mouth smiled, but his eyes didn't.

Rhaegar smiled. "Good evening, your highness," he said, knowing the formality was unneeded. "It's been too long." He laughed. "Hello coz," he said to Quentyn. "I see you are whispering between the both of you. It's good to see some things have not changed." The King smiles pleasantly at Rhaegar, and replies, "It is a good evening, thank you."

"We have missed your charm at court. Does your duty keep you away from King's Landing?" "Duty?" Daeron asked with a chuckle. "If there is one word who's meaning has kept itself from me it would be duty."

Morgan turned from Daeron to Becca, "I am feeling a chill, you must be shivering wearing as little as you are. Shall we send for a cloak?" "Why no your grace I am fine," Becca replied, "I suppose I am just warm-blooded. But its perfectly normal for you to feel differently, some ladies are naturally cold."

His mouth smiled, but his eyes didn't. "Well I know my wife loves these Orchids...." Banefort trailed off and looked up at Thatcher, and pales further. He opens his mouth, and then shuts it, then opens it, and then shuts it again. And then blurts out, "It gets quite drafty in the winter there."

Talyn nodded, "I can not abide a draft. Kyma will be very disappointed, but I suppose she'll get used to it." He smiled again, slightly wolfishly.

Daemon smiled, "You look rather stout yourself." He touches his chin, and adds to Conwell, "Perhaps a bit too stout. Maybe a couple extra hours in the training yard will make you tad more lion, and less cuddly lamb." Conwell maintained his genial smile. "Your Grace, these years of peace in the West have offered me little opportunity to campaign. It's true that that, my advancing age, and the able Lord Brax about to take care of martial matters leave me with less will than I once had to hone my martial skills." Conwell's hand instinctively brushes where his sword would normally hang. "But, perhaps in the coming contest on the fifth day I will be able to show again that I have some skill in battle."

The Queen stares at Becca for a long moment, then murmurs, "I need to speak to Lady Grafton yet, and I see her over there." She turned and walked away.

"Oh well, the last I saw you I was still a young girl, but I hope to get to know you better now that you are here for a time." Arya smiled warmly. She overheard Becca's remark and she confirmed her feelings for hating her at this moment, but knew she was jesting al lthe same.

"I'll mull about and size up some of the competition," Jon replied, "You have fun, and I'll meet you back near the door a little later and we can compare notes hmmm." "Very well, I will see you later." Joanna gave her husband a knowing smile and vanished into the crowd.

"I must say, you have grown into a beautiful young woman. I am sure your father is proud of you."

"Thank you prince. He speaks of you often and how an able student you were. In fact I hear of you from my brother and sister as well." She was dissapointed the queen left her alone and watched her go. "So you can understand I must know why they speak so highly of you."

Daeron replied. "I say it is best to get your own view of someone." He grabbed a glass of wine off a passing servant. "Wine?"

"Oh, Conwell, never doubt that I think you anything but skillful. You do not seem the sort to just inactivity slow you down. Lord Thatcher always says, 'Just because a Lion's belly is full, does not men his teeth and claws are dull.'" Daemon smiled crookedly, "Have you met my cousin Rhaegar? He is Euric's boy."

Becca smiled knowingly, and turned back to the paramour.
"Some ladies are quicker with their tongues than others," she whispered to the Ghis girl.
