Daemon frowned, "I do not love them. I can not they are not dragons."

[Ser Kyle Payne]

Kyle turned to the king, dropping to one knee and bowing his head as he had before, "Your Majesty."

[Marie]

"Then what is to be done. You can't keep the boys in limbo," Joanna said.

Joanna turned to Daemon.

"Your Grace, this is Ser Kyle Payne, who would serve us."

[Ser Kyle Payne]

"It is an honor to be in your presence, my king." Kyle said, keeping his head bowed as not to offend.

[The Smith]

"When I know Selwyn can ride the beasts, I will name him my heir. Until then there is no reason to." Daemon said steely. He did not look at the other man.

[Marie]

"Oh, I understand that, but it would be cruel of you to ignore your two elder sons," Joanna whispered. "Don't they deserve better than that?"

[The Smith]

"They have failed me more greivously then I could ever fail them. One will have Highgarden, and the other Oldtown." Daemon replied sadly.

[Marie]

"Oh, that's something at least, but they are just children, Daemon. Please don't make them suffer more than they must. It's not their fault, after all. It would be good for you to be kind to them."

[The Smith]

Daemon waved away his hand, "Leave it Jo. I can not forgive them for the disappointment."

[Marie]

She thought he was very wrong and feared what he would do if their own son did not measure up. How could he not, he is Targaryen on both sides?

!As you wish," she said, though she had no intention of forgetting the matter. "Oh, um, would you do me one small favour though?"

[The Smith]

"What do you ask of me?" Daemon smiled at her.

[Marie]

"Could you call Maekar back to Kings Landing? Anni has begun to miss him terribly and now she is not too far from giving birth husband and wife should be together. I promised originally that I would go to the Eyrie with her but it's much more suitable that Maekar come here, don't you think?"

[The Smith]

Daemon shrugged, "I can ask him to come. I do not think that is an appropriate command."

[Marie]

"Why not? You are the king, Maekar is your brother. You are entitled to want to keep him close after what happened with Daeron. If he loves you and is dutiful, he will come."
