Daeron smiled. "Well, I had the suspicion the musicians were here so they would entertain us by jousting on pigs, though a dance may very well be lined up." He quirks a smile and looks briefly around the hall. "I shall let your husband have the first dance and Daemon the second but third is me." He grinned.

"How could one not. It is a party after all. I do miss Wargrove though. After 20 years the entire place is finally finished. There was even a town constructed around it." "It sounds good. 20 years is a long time for a place to be built though. What is the place like?" "Wargrove is amazing. As you enter the gate there is a huge statue of Selwyn Baratheon kneeling to Saella. Each wing of the castle is named after a Dragon where a large statue is made for them. Plus the castle itself. The Great Hall can sit hundreds and there is a special staircase at the back that leads directly to the Lords Chambers."

Lord Milo Bettley entered the feast, and slipped easily through the crowd, finding Lord Thatcher he walked over, and offered his a glass of wine. He emptied his own glass in one swallow, and spoke softly, "I am leaving tonight. Shall not be back for a month... at least."

Valrus's frown was replaced with a smile.
"The girls over there," He said, indicating the two from before, "Are Brella and Daia. You might remember that Brella asked you wed her when the both of you were younger." He chuckled at that memory.
"I think you'd agreed to it to until she hit you with that ladle."
"The triplets there," He said, pointing to the middle of the room where three boys, about ten and three, were seeming to argue over something, "Are Yon, Eled and Joren. A constant thorn to the side of my House Guard."
"And of course there's Ada." He said, motioning to the pretty girl at the end of the table. Her hair seemed unruly, and her dress was a bit disheveled, but she had an easy, rural-looking cuteness that could only be attained by tomboys.

"It sounds... extravogent." She said, not really knowing what to say without offending the Lord. "I bet it towers above the village then."

Becca Thatcher left the Queen's side, and approached her former Father-in-Law, giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "How are you doing? It has been faaaar too long." Connor returns her hug warmly. "It is good to see you my dear. How have you been?"

"Because you have not said no yet." Daeron replied with a wink. "Do excuse me, I think I shall roam the hall a little. I will see you later for that dance." He waved to his sister with a smile and moved off into the masses.

"Another trip to Dorne hmm... Bettley?" Talyn said darkly, loud enough to be over heard by those nearby.

Barristan smiles, "But enough about talking of my home. Tell me how was life at Storm's End? With the great Rhaenys Targaryen as a mother."

Lord Rowan Trant entered the room. He wore a long high necked doublet, in black, the sleeve where his arm was missing was pinned up to his chest. He scanned the room with his one good eye. In the other socket, a glass eye, where the "pupil" was in the shape of a seven sided star. He found Talyn Thatcher after a moment, and sat down beside him. The two spoke in low voices. Lord Bracken found Trant and Thatcher sitting together as he passed by a crowd of Mandermen discussing politics quite loudly. "Lord Thatcher", Titus said with all courtesy and some intended formality. In all honesty Titus admired his good-father, a man who had risen from the most nefarious of origins, defeating the stigma attached to his house, and achieving the kingdom's highest posts. Therefore, he viewed his good-father with the highest degree of respect. He bowed deeply to the man and then did the same to his partner as he smiled politely, "Lord Trant. Are you both enjoying Lord Manderly's party?"

Connor returns her hug warmly. "It is good to see you my dear. How have you been?" "Boring," Becca said with a fake yawn, "But somehow I survive. Has this tourney finally pulled you out of that trout stream to come see how the rest of the Kingdom is doing?"

"I remember quite well." Turning to one of his pages Daemon snapped, and the boy stepped forward to offer the King a large wooden box. The King turned and presented it to Manderly, "In thanks for such a fine job I have brought you gifts for your sons and daughters. For the girls platinum lockets with your crest on it, and for the boys daggers inlayed with platinum and your seal. I could not be more appreciative Valrus."

Joanna looked after her brother with a laugh and wondered who else was worth her attention. Daemon, for certain, but this was perhaps not the best place to talk to the king, when he had so many other calls upon his attention.
