Dacey batted her lashes and smiled, but withdrew slightly from his finger. "Oh, I don't worry," she said cheerfully. "There's too much fun to be had."

"Exactly." Renald says, moving his hand down to cover hers on the bar. "So tell me about yourself, Lady Dacey. How does a Little Lass from Flea Bottom come to run such a fine establishment?"

"Lots of luck," she replied brightly. "And maybe a bit of work now and then," she chuckled.

"How most things in this world come about." He answers, laughing. "It is just you in the world? No family, save perhaps for your girls here?"

"We all have some family, one way or another," Dacey said lightly.

"Quite," Ser Renald replies, "But you are so coy, my lady. Mistrustful of strange knights, newly arrived from the East?"

She leaned forward slightly and smiled at him. "Not in the least," she cooed. "But I do feel that your dear little wine glass needs refilling, and while I take care of that, I would love to hear a tale of your far-ranging adventures."

"A tale? A tale..." Renald says, pondering. "Let me see. I could tell you of the time I was captured by the Dothraki. Or the time I fought a dozen Unsullied. No. We'll go with the tale of the dragons.
"I came to Braavos toward the tale end of my time in the East. And, in Braavos, one cannot help but hear of the Targaryens. The city is theirs. Not openly, of course, the people would not stand for it, but from the shadows. Now, they hold court nightly in the finest pleasure palaces in the East. I, being a Westerosi, felt compelled to attend at least once, and see what once ruled my home.
"I should note here that I am, of course, a Baratheon man through and through. But curiosity compelled me to investigate. So I went. It was a fine affair, I must say. They have strength and friends yet, the Targaryens. Many a Westerosi has flocked to their banner since they went into exile. And the Free Cities support them, as well. Anything they want, they get. Gold, jewels, soldiers. But none of these are what truly impressed me. No, it was the dragons. Yes, indeed, the stories are true. I did not believe them until I saw them with my own eyes, but they are true.
"There are three of them, one for each of the brothers. One black, one silver, and one red. They are young yet, but growing, each no bigger than a deer. But not for long. Soon, they will be full-sized. And then, well, who knows?"
He shrugs, and sips his wine.

"Ooh, three dragons?" Dacey's eyes lit up. "Are they pretty? Were you allowed to pet one?"

Renald chuckles a bit, "No, can't say that I was. Rather dangerous beasts, likely to come back with a missing hand and a burned stump if I tried. Besides," His hand wraps around hers and he lifts it to his lips, kissing it, "I prefer prettier creatures."

Dacey laughed and gently withdrew her hand. "I hope you didn't say that at the Targaryen's court."

"Oh, I certainly did!" Flowers tells her, smiling broadly, "Walked right up to Aellion Targaryen himself and said 'Your Grace, wondrous though that beast is, I must say, it's damn near the ugliest thing I've ever seen.' Should have seen the look on his face. 'Bout ready to shit a dragon's egg, he was."

She grinned. "If he could do that, he'd have been back here years ago."

Renald laughs loudly at that, sipping his wine once he manages to calm down.
"Indeed, indeed. You know, my lady, if you would like to see the dragons, we could always run away together. Sounds dreadfully romantic, doesn't it? And everyone should have the opportunity to see the East at some point or another."

Dacey look unimpressed. "The east is beautiful - been there once - but home is where I belong, and the Targaryens can bloody well stay out there too. This city has burned down too many times in my lifetime, and if it happens again - why, I say we kill all the kings and just rule ourselves, or something. Anything to avoid war." She winked at another knight who was listening, to show that she was joking, and he laughed and moved away.
