A week later Euric is awoken from slumber by Isabella. She is wearing a blue robe tied tightly shut over a white night gown. She shook him gently and repeated, "Lord Dayne? Lord Dayne?" Until he awoke.

Euric opened his eyes slowly, momentarily confused. "Mother...? What? No..." He shook his head. "Isabella.... it's the middle of the night!"

She smiled down at him, "I told you I would return late at night to give my handlers the opinion we are committing an act of congress." She blushed slightly, "If you do not wish the lesson now, I can come another night."

"Oh... of course, I forgot. Excuse me." He sat up and took a moment to clear his head, having a sip of water from a mug next to his bed. "I'm ready." He said with a tired smile.

Isabella in front of him, "First a question to you. Who has the most powerful network in the realms?" She folded her hands atop one another and studied him.

Euric thought for a long moment, thinking about all the men and women he knew who played the 'game'. "I can guess it used to be Thatcher senior... now... I would have to say Lannister."

"Thatcher was the strongest, but by now his network was probably been absorbed by the others." Isabella replied, "And you are wrong. Lannister's man, whoever he is, has a strong network, but it is not the strongest. That honor either goes to the Black Witch, Lady Bettley, or to the Twins of Oldtown."

Euric thought that over. "The Twins of Oldtown?" He asked after a while.

"Have you heard the Legend of Flea?" Isabella asked from her rigid standing position.

"Only a little... I've heard some rumours about the man." Euric answered. "Do sit." He patted the large bed.

Isabella looked at it a second, and then nodded sitting beside him. "There is little actual knowledge of Flea. He trained at the side of Francis Varner, another legend among spies. He was from Flea's Bottom. There are rumors claiming he was a bastard of Piers Bettley." She smiled a moment, "Half the spies in Westeros claim to be a bastard of the Beetle. The word is that Flea has left or died, and his Twins inherited Oldtown."

"I see." Euric said, his brain on fire with all the information. "Is it known if they have taken sides, if that is even a possibility?"

"The Twins are rumored to be allied with the Maesters now. I have heard that perhaps they are even equals with the Citadel in running Oldtown. I know for a fact they worked hard against the Ironborn occupation." Isabella replied, "Spies tend to assume spies run things. In our minds Milo Bettley and Lord Musgood run the Queen. If I become known my peers will assume that I am the true power behind you."

"Which in essence could be counted as partially true. I do have to rely on someone for information." He smiled and had another sip from his cup. "Lady Bettley is technically on our side but I am not sure if it is a good thing to truly trust her. Milo... I am not sure either."

"I can say this about Milo, he is his Grandmother's man. If he helps it is because she wishes it. They way he speaks of her, it is clear his feelings." Isabella said, "As to their intentions I can not speak with any knowledge. I can say I never got any orders that made me feel we were not working for the good of the Queen, but since I was clearly expendable to them they would never have whispered things like that to me."
