Aurane smiled at the obvious compliment. He knew Lilliana and himself were of a similar age and he was impressed by her demeanour and her comeliness. They should make a good match, he thought to himself.
"And I have been most anxious to meet you my lady. You are aware I have come to ask for your hand in marriage?" he replied.

"I am." She said with another smile. Walther lead the two to the table, where the remainder of the now dwindled family sat.

Aurane gave a small smile, as they were seated. "I assume that you are agreeable."

"Of course." She replies, clinking her glass against his. "I would wish to be wed as soon as possible."

"I am glad to hear that." replied Aurane smiling broadly. "I agree."
He turned to Ser Walther. "The lady has made her wishes plain Ser Walther. I confess I find it difficult to resist the wishes of a beautiful lady. If you are agreeable let us be married as soon as possible. Name the place and the day and it will be done."

"As the husband it would usually be required you be wed at your home," He smiled wispily at Lily. "But I think perhaps a ceremony in our walls might not be too much of an issue. If we start preparations now the two of you should be wed within the week."

Aurane nodded.
"I have no objections Ser Walther. I shall send word to my sisters to attend. My brothers are on other duties with my uncle and in Kings Landing, but as my sisters are nearby at Driftmark, they can be here fairly soon. When they arrive...."he again looked approvingly at Lilliana, ".... we shall be married."

Lilliana smiled in return and Walther nodded. "I will have preparations started on the morrow."

Lord Aurane Velaryon, his brother Ser Valarr and forty men arrive at Stonedance from the south. Most are mounted but some horses carry two soldiers. They look tired and worn. As soon as it is recognised the party that is requesting entrancde is led by Lord Velaryon, they are admitted to the castle.
Aurane had left his new bride and his sisters in the care of Lilliana's uncle at Greenstone, while he met his obligations to Aegon, As soon as he had seen the comfort of his men, Aurane asked to be taken to his wife and sisters.
He also sent his brother and a Stonedance man-at-arms to Ser Walther with a polite request to meet him in his wife's quarters.

The man-at-arms smiles at Lord Aurane. "Ser Walther is Lord Dayne. Our castellan is in charge at the moment."

"Very well. replied Aurane. "Could you ask that the castellan to meet with me in my wife's quarters as soon as possible? My brother will accompany you with my message.
Aurane nodded at the man and Valarr and went to seek his wife.

A few minutes later a stocky soldier came to see Aurane. "Captain Gardan, in charge of Stonendace."

Aurane nodded. "Greetings captain. I had hoped to meet Ser Walther, but I am informed with Lord Dayne. How many men do you have left here?"

"Enough to man the walls." Gardan said with a shrug. "The rest are with the army."

Aurane looked slightly disappointed. "That is unfortunate. I had hoped to raise further men here and join my uncle in helping re-take Kings Landing for Queen Rhaenys."
He spread a map of the Crownlands out on the table. "With your co-operation, I'd like to send ravens here and here..", he pointed to a number of places on the map. "Aegon will be around somewhere...it's just a matter of where."
"I'll be making for Sharp Point with my men, my wife, my brother, my sisters and any extra men you can afford to spare as soon as possible."
